well said mate
Can someone post a Bios Temp-let for a Q8400 on a EP45-UD3P Rev.1.0 that could help get me at 4.0mhz I'm running 4 1gig sticks of Micron 555-12 rated at 667 Dram Volt 18000 Cooler Master hyper 212
Sergio is one of the biggest assets to this thread. You may be gone, but not forgotten. R.I.P. my friend.
i dont have a bios template mate but i can give you some tips...btw you know you have a killer mobo ? rev 1.0 can reach amazing clocks
skews
900/900/0/50
set vtt to 1.2 and cpu ref to .785 and mch ref to .80 then up vtt to the value you want letting the other settings change
MCH volts if you are running 4GB set to 1,36
post your actual settings and i will help you better ok ?
cheers :toast:

Hi I have this set up, just purchased recently, curious about a few things, ill post specs first, then what i've noticed, then my question(s)... Thanks
E8400 E0 4.264 (533 Fsb x 8) Keeps my 1066 ram times. 1.350v (could go lower?) Runs stable in prime 1Hr, and everything works ok!
EP45-UD3R Motherboard
OCZ Reaper 2x2Gb 1066
OCZ Vertex 30Gb
XFX 5670 (512Mb Non Crossfire ability)
BFG 800+ Watt 4x12v 18A? Rails?
What I've noticed, at 3.6Ghz I could under-volt fine, and run SUPER PI pretty quick, at 4Ghz Even faster! (10-12 Seconds on 1m)
Now.. 4.264Ghz with 1066 ram, lowered timings even, benches higher, but!!!...
With 1Minute + on 1m test? That's getting stupid, how did I go down on PI calculations vs my 3.6Ghz? And such a LARGE variation as-well!
I can Photobucket my Bios screens ....

I'm dying to go to an i7 860 on a GA-P55, but I'm just to damn lazy to have to reinstall all my programs I use.
I wish I knew if some has used Sysprep and switch from P45 to P55 with success on XP SP3.
hey mate to show us your template just put as i did selecting # (Wrap CODE...) from the message menu
u need to setup things as i told youCode:MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.)

put 1,2VTT and .785 on CPU REF and .80 on MCH REF then UP VTT leaving the values change auto to 1,3VTT
Skews set 900/900/0/50
MCH set to 1,3+ at least
PLL 1,5
check that you have 400x8 not 400x9
also radaja is right you dont have memory with XMP (xtreme mem profile) just put that on AUTO or disable it
cheers :toast:
Sergio
I don't want to sound like a retarded noob but can someone clarify what those above setting mean exactly
VTT = CPU Termination ? yes ? coz theres is no VTT in the ud3p bios
Then your saying up VTT to 1.3 leaving the other values to change automatic ?
not really clear to me is that what your saying ? sorry
then MCH set to 1,3+ at least which MCH ? core ,reference , or dram ref ?
Skews set 900/900/0/50 what exactly are the Skews ?
Can someone straighten me out so i can try these setting please
quick guide to set cpu/mch references using 1.20v vtt in bios
http://i46.tinypic.com/2444b3c.jpg
heres an easy cheatsheet for the actual cpu/mch references
values in bios for different vtt values:helps when assisting
others who are new to the board by being able to give exact
reference values to set for most vtt voltages.
top row represents what easytune6 shows
highlighted green is vtt voltage
highlighted red is cpu reference
highlighted blue is mch reference
EXAMPLE:using vtt voltage of 1.32v
setting the cpu ref to 0.861v in bios(shown in red).
ET6 will show it as 0.785v(1 notch above normal)
setting the mch ref to 0.916v in bios(shown in blue).
ET6 will show it as 0.840v(2 notches above normal)
Code:E-T-6 0.730 / 0.745 / 0.760 \ 0.785 \ 0.800
vtt 1.20 0.730 / 0.745 / 0.760 \ 0.785 \ 0.800
vtt 1.22 0.742 / 0.757 / 0.772 \ 0.797 \ 0.812
vtt 1.24 0.755 / 0.770 / 0.785 \ 0.810 \ 0.825 CPU reference value in bios

In case anyone else is looking for a Q9550... MicroCenter has some in stock at the Fairfax, Twin Cities, and Detroit stores.
To bad I live in Ohio:(
just bought this board from radaja at OCN. I would like to prepare early :). Could anyone share their settings for q9650?
Will I need to get this ram? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231271
I currently use http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146785
no need to put those bad attributes on you mate we where all noobs at the begginings...
VTT = CPU Termination ? yes ? coz theres is no VTT in the ud3p bios
* VTT = CPU TERMINATION correct
Then your saying up VTT to 1.3 leaving the other values to change automatic ?
not really clear to me is that what your saying ? sorry
* you go to bios and set manually VTT to 1.2 and set CPU REF on 0.785 and MCH ref on 0.80 then you just move VTT to your desired value lets say 1.3 and you will see the values of REFS you put change auto...leave them
then MCH set to 1,3+ at least which MCH ? core ,reference , or dram ref ?
* MCH volts sorry yes to 1.3 and will need more till 1.42 depending on your amount of ram and tight timmings and FSB
Skews set 900/900/0/50 what exactly are the Skews ?
* you can find them on ADVANCED CLOCK CONTROL it will help a lot with OC
cheers
