thanx radaja will try to shoot some 4800 at x9 multi then i will try 9,5 :up:
thanks mate :up: and the best of lucks on the contest
Thanks mate any help im around i love this board :up:
:rofl:
did you saw my posts?
Whats the trick with the auto on the vtt, cpu reg and mch ref and mch volt?
:| it works at 460fsb *8
but it will not work at 460fsb * 8,5 :(
using 1,435v on cpu
Hi Sergio
Gracias amigo. Listo.
Ahorita mesmo voy tentar cambiar para 2.35 en DRAM v
Hey,
can i add you on msn or gmail? :) Could you pop me up a pm ;)
Currently i am stable with:
467x8
333 strap
2,4b
mem speed = 1121
5-6-6-18
tr=9
CR=2
BIOS:
cpu v = 1,431
cpu term = auto (ET6 = 1,5)
cpu ref = auto (ET6 = 0,805)
mch core = auto (ET6 =1,3)
mch ref = auto (ET6 =0,76)
ich = 1,57
ich core = 1,2
RAM= 2,16
This is rock stable!
But why do i put the same ET6 values on BIOS and i wont post? :|
Also,
Do you use 333 strap or 400 for this fsb?
Also set strap to Auto and choose 2.4B Multiplier.
bluestang
thanks for the help!
Hum.. so if the vtt is auto and ET6 is showing 1,5.. why is the ref's still in default?
and why do i put them manually and it wont work?! :| argg!
i am felling a newbie and i OC since my MMX/Durons :)
Do you use mem prof to turbo or standart?
i see on your tag you have 1,38v only for 500fsb :(
If you go in BIOS and set vtt to 1.20, your ref will say (if not on auto) what ET6 has. But as you increase vtt the refs scale up in ratio. That's why ET6 still shows them at stock values. Set your vtt to 1.2 and then change your refs to what sergio says. Then bump up vtt to desired value (you shouldn't need 1.5 either!) and refs will scale with it. ET6 will then show the ref values you set at vtt 1.20.
I didn't even touched it yet ... this gooc2010 romanian final will be:
1.my first LN2 experience
2.my first time with a qulfie
all this on my first participation in this competition :D
I feel it will be a damn interesting one and an experience I won't forget! :up:
thanks man ... I need it a lot ... I'll try and do the best I can :)
in the end ... I have nothing to loose ... so I'll try and have as much fun as possible :D
thanks andressergio ... hope I'll be able to score a nice result and make the users on xs proud of me :up:
you will do great kagula323
Like you said:
Refs will scale with the vtt
If i increase vtt to 1,26
Cpu ref minimal value is 0,784
So, if go above 1,3vtt i will only have values higher than 0,8 to cpu ref
i am wondering....
are you setting these values on bios or on ET6?
Because using ET6 i can set 1,4 vtt and 0,784 on cpu ref ;) but not on bios
UPDATE:
I am now with 4x1GB instead of 2x1GB
After i insert the additional 2x1GB system dont boot!
I had to put mch core = 1,54
:confused:
Rebound, in bios set your CPU ref to 0.785, and MCH ref to 0.80 (whilst VTT is on 1.2). Then set your VTT to 1.34 or 1.36. It's a lot easier to do it this way, as you'll only have to remember one set of numbers in relation to default vtt.
Also check your performance level setting under the advanced memory timings section and set it to 10 for now, when you find a sweet spot, you can reduce this to 8 (or less if you're running a lower fsb). Set PLL to 1.5, this is all most Quads need, ignore the motherboard auto settings that appear in ET6, they become far too high when you overclock.
Another problem could be your TRFC which responds to being loosened a LOT with 2 more sticks, try something like 80-100 just to rule it out. If it does help, tune in on the value that allows you to boot ok, then loosen it a 2-4 more.
If you still have problems, fill out a bios template - there's plenty several pages back, just cut, paste and fill in your own values.
Hope this helps mate ;)
I'm struggling with stability at 530 fsb, so I'll either have to head back to 500x9 or try a little harder tonight - 8k passes, but hangs the moment it hits 10k. Even if I can't completely stabilise, I'll have a good point to start benching at higher fsb. Kinda miss the MCH temp from the extreme so gonna give the software a whirl to see how it's faring at 1.62v.

btw,
with this 460*8 rock and stable
If i start playing with mch refs i get bluescreen or prime errors.
For example, if i change the current 0,76 on et6 (auto in bios) to 0,80 system will be unstable :|:ROTF:

Hey guys look like im back in the EP45-UD3P game after all :p: after being stuck with this G.SKILL PC 7200 and locked at 4050 , Sergio was able to help me purchase some of the classic G.SKILL PC 9600 P.I.s from his friend Matt , I know alot of you have moved to the DDR 3 version .. but this is my last DDR 2 jump so let the tweaking begin
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k7...c/IMG01044.jpg
Thanks again for the help Sergio :up:
