It doesn't really matter what the hell it's for, if any of us can make use of it. I wouldn't buy it because I can't fit it in my Budget anyway. Now, I'll gladly stay on my Desktop and I hope you do the same;)

After 4 X 4 and the rip-off it represents, complete with Suckers buying it. Others here trying to complain about this board is a bad joke IMHO! All it took to out do 4 X 4 was or as I call it "$ X $" was a single Quad Core that AMD complains about that's not Native. I honestly hope K-10 kicks ass, the whole market needs it to.

So a hint for you: Don't pretend to know something you're clueless about. Also, it doesn't take acting like an A-Hole or Jerk to get your point across. If you disagree just post what you disagree with. Barkie is a Server Processor and that's why I linked. Wait, you do know Barcelona is a Server Processor, right? Intel has already talked about other workstation 2P boards with DDR2 and DDR3 BTW.

Example; "magic marketing Intel with there nice v8 is it still needs fb-dimm" and this coming from an AMD Fan ( I suspect) because I never read anything like this when AMD launched their 4 X 4. There was a perfect BS marketing schlock job.

I know he meant "their" and not "there" hell, who cares? As long as the message is understood, I agree, cut em' some slack? Lord knows I've screwed up enough LOL! I disagree with what he was saying, NOT how he said it.

I'm sorry I meant to show I was agreeing as well, my bad, honestly! I had just asked at least 3 guys to leave out Intel if they only wanted to talk about AMD. If they invited a reply, they should expect one. I'm saying it bluntly, I agree with you 100%.

Did it ever crossed your brain that virtually none of the SW they tested there was designed to scale to 8 cores ? Most barely handles 4.

AMD 4x4: bad marketing specially because they were always talking about native quadcore and naging about mcm from Intel, even worse because Nvidia screwed it with there power hungry chipset not to mention the power hunger of the k8 before revision F3. the pricedrop made it much more interesting.

Intel skulltray: Trying to make something that has no market just because the competitor had "something", destroyed all possibilities for buying this due to the FBdimm and the worse scaling on multicore-multisocket.

at the end 790 chipset + socket F k10 might be the best choice. Power consumption ok and no need of fbdimm. we'll see end of the year.

Now that that's out of the way, let's see if we can talk? AMD's marketing was bad, two fold. First I agree with you about the Native Crap-O-La it was ALMOST bad as Intel's "So fast it's not fair" BS when Athlon64 was Kicking the crap out of P4. The Native talk looked sad because here was the same folks using two Sockets to combat one so called inferior MCM. We know ONE MCM was faster than 4 X 4 in most cases, used less power, put off less heat and just a better deal in most folks' opinion.

Crap-O-La marketing part #2 It was marketed towards something called "Enthusiast Gamers". In others words, folks with more money than Brains. It amazes me that some so call Computer Savvy folks can be so blind at times. There aren't any games made to take advantage of anything like 4 X 4.

Bluetooth is one of those guys who is credible and who got the one of the 1st GA RD790 mobos to test.So this is very good news coming from them!

Note he says air cooling is used and it's a X4 ,so all of the cores must work at the same clock since something is wrong(bios?) and they can't use separate PLLs to clock the cores individually.
