zsamz,i dont have a dmm right now,so say im using vtt of 1.15 what would you suggest i should set in bios(to get 60-63%)to start with?ranges for trial and error that i can use for all three GTL's,the two cpu's and the NB?
thanks.
500 FSB would be awesome!
Alas I m using non-QVL RAM and someone else from XS told me it might be D9GKX.
Any much higher-430 to 440ish and I fail memtest #5 right at the very end of test even with PL 8 and NB volts up to 1.5:eek:
Is this indicative of having to master the read delay Pulls?
I had fun with my old chip:D I am currently running an E8500.
The chip in my Sig is actually a Cedar Mill Die which is half a late-Gen Pentium Dual-Core or a Presler Die. The 6X1 series was the one with 2MB of cache instead of 1MB like Prescott so in other words I actually had a chance playing Crysis on high:p:
The 631 model in specific Set the world record for Raw Speed Clocking in at about 8.1GHZ:shocked: on LN2 so I thought-why not-maybe I could pull off 5.0 on Air?Nope. But Max 4.5GHz@1.45V/15=301FSB*3.34=1003MHz DDR
PL 3 wasn't bad either-I got 50% OC! I kicked in the full 2:1 A couple times for 1200 and got R-9512 and t-68.3 with that setup but It wasn't really Gaming/Prime stable and I was already at the Chip's FSB wall anyway. It was swell but the swelling's gone down:p: So I got E 8500!
I am inspired now to see if I really can go higher with my E 8500/RAM/Mobo Combo when I have some free time.

Hello,
I have some problems whit this mainboard (bios D317) and an Intel q9550 c1
I can't go to 400fbs even if i downclock the cpu to 2800 (400 x 7) whit default vcore
I have tried some setting but nothing worked (vtt, vnb)
prime95 (blend) give me error in few seconds, sometimes even at default speed at 333fbs... my ram are ok (gskill hz ddr800)
Any advice?
using the 5:6-333/800 divider with this board,on pl7 where does the fsb top out at?can it go say 560fsb pl7 w/5:6?
well i just got 540x8 ddr1300 5:6 pl8 stable,so i tried pl7 and it seems stable.thats why i asked because when i was at pl8,i didnt want to try pl7 till i found out but i couldnt wait.i left the aggressive things on auto for pl7.now im going to lower the vcore and try setting it to more aggressive.

push a little more i'm sure u can break 12k:yepp:
im trying.i got to say this is a sweet board.
My UT P35 is great on open bench, but I decided to put it in my main system in place of the DK X48 and now 500x8 with RAM at 600 (my 24/7 settings previously) doesn't even want to past Memtest. My whole reason for swapping was seeing 500FSB with PL7 and More Aggressive being stable, and I benched with those settings and it seemed fine, but not so in the case with all my hardware. I thought something was up with the DK X48 not being able to use More Aggressive with 500x8 5:6 PL8, but I guess it wasn't the board, but something with my loads of components.

The site at edgeofstability is working again!
It shows the voltage measurement points. Yayyyyy :)
Surprised that those links weren't brought up on the 1st page of the thread... So here they are:
VDIMM measurement points
NB voltage, CPU VTT & CPU PLL measurement points
NB GTL & CPU GTL measurement points
ok,
now i have some stability whit vtt at 1,31v and vnb at 1,41v (cpu @ 3400 400 x 8,5); gtl settings at default (disable).
prime95 blend seems ok (2 hours test); vtt e vnb at stock give me error in few seconds.
prime95 small fft has rebooted my machine after about 30 min but i was testing the cpu whit a downvolt at 1,15v (cpu vid is 1,225) ... i was expecting a core error not a reboot
so now i'm testing whit default vcore and i have upped the vtt to 1,33v;
my ram (G.Skill PC2-6400 HZ Series) are set to 800 4-4-4-12 whit 2.0v and this is stock speed for these ram.
a little help please.according to the edgeofstability chart,if i set my vtt at 1.30 then i should start my fiddling at 89/90 for cpu and 89 for NB correct?if so why are everyone else's thet ive seen in the 60/70 range?say i set vtt at 1.30 and set the gtl's at 68/70/68,then how would i calculate what the % of vtt would be(Example 63% or 67% of vtt)im only asking cause it seems to be different from the asus P45 boards and the UD3P boards, calculating it that is.if i set it to disabled with vtt at 1.30 what does the board set the actual nimbers to and the %? sorry if im asking too much here but ive not been able to get a straight answer just links for charts and how to measure but thats not what im trying to find out.hopefully someone understands what im trying to ask.
