:D
rofl, :D
Good luck guys and have fun!
I can't hardly wait for the results :)
2 hours and no news...:(
Keep us updated, San Diëgo brothers
yeah, we're getting nervous here :D
I'm going to bed now. Hoping for some results tomorrow:D
Come on guys, results please :D
i think he'll upload the results at the end of the session ;)
i tell you guys that was the session of my life!!!! finaly meet stunned_guy and we did rock the house!!!! few world records of course. ;) but why they have to update the cpu-z version that weekend??????? we had absolutely no internet. :( so all our scores are v.1.44.2. wrote to cpu-z. hope they validate our scores... because there are records they'll never be broken in the feature. ;)
btw: fired up 175L LN2 in 17h... :D (my personal record is still 100L in 8h)
photos and movies later these days....
@stunni: don't tell them the scores now. :D
have to go...
So, when will we see the scores?:)
I bet you got the Opty 154 + 156 WRs. Dunno what other stuff you got, but if you broke 5 WR's I bet at least one more was mine:p:
Edit: These are the records I think were broken:
Opty 152
Opty 154
Opty 156
Opty 185 (at least you got a better score than my lousy 3817MHz)
X2 4600+ Manchester
hehe great. :D
oh man i could cry!!!!!
bruce: 1 correct :D
Hmmm, that *must* be the 156 record.
Which means that the 154 4ghz club is still a 2-member club:p:
How could you NOT break the X2 4600+ manchester record?? Seemed like a very good chip then one Phillip had!
Edit: I guess that means that a couple of records were "only" improvements of your old ones, right?
Edit2: 3500+ Clawhammer?
tell you later ;)
http://octs.ripping.org/sandiego_bros.jpg
not photoshopped! the real deal! ;)
but we had fun!
That was great :D
There aren´t no more records because we don´t had enough LN2 :( But there are also many athlon XP records :D
We broke one of the oldest records.
The FX-55 0516 WPMW wasn´t good that was s.h.i.t. :( I will finally say: 4 ghz I we were there
hehe yes... stunni was the man for F7 and i the mouse mover. :D the highest wr-run is on tape. true emotions of overclocker!
I still feel the action :D
Wait for the videos and uploads of the pictures. Hopefully the validations will be upload.
hehe, nice.
looks like you had great fun. :D
Nice stuff;)
But when will we be able to see the results??
When they are updated. Please wait, photoshop nedds time :D
not photoshop needs time but the man from cpu-z... it takes him 30min per validation. ;) but we have to send him new 1.45 on default clock from every cpu... stunned_guy will make these and send it to me. then i have to show the session-photos to the guy and then we will get our validations.
but i've found a screenshot of our opteron 154 @ -3°C. no world record so it will not be validated. but i think we are credible.
http://www.ripping.org/img/validatio...2_1.888_-3.jpg
ok here are our s939 scores:
fx-55 san diego 1.840v -88 => 3748mhz => sucker
fx-53 clawhammer 1.936v -125 => 3937mhz => WR
opteron 154 1.888v -3 => 3952mhz => 3rd
opti156 1.888v -18 => 3984mhz => WR
fx-55 clawhammer 1.778v -104 => 4014mhz => WR
for the wr's there will be a validation, like i said.
what about promised AXP scores?
nice scores :)
k7 @3.5ghz... ;)
i don't know the scores anymore... because we benched a lot of socket a cpus in a very short time. unrockbar has to send me the specs again. will post it asap.
sandiego was 0516wpmw... and yes the FX-55 was the CAA2C. very cool stuff with coldness. we needed exactly -156°C on the tube, at -157°C the board don't recognize the cpu anymore. :D so we are three people on that run. Besi was the man on the tube with LN2. stunned_guy pressed F7 and me moved the regulator in clockgen. :) team-work.
That FX-55 Clawhammer was not an CAA2C it was an AAA2C 0435 UPAW ;)
That FX-55 0516 suc.ks very hard :(
I tested this Opteron 154 at home but with 1.55 vcore i had only -2c so I will need LN2.
I have modded my board again now i hope to get some better temps with all cpus...
That Opteron 185 didnt goes very high with DICE at the session i got around 100 mhz less than i got at home....have to try it again.
Article from the session on bastel-gianni.ch
If you understand german, it's even more funny!
I am waiting for the rest of your results :)
nice action guys...
very good article bro, good work
Well done, giant :D
sent the validation files now to mr. cpuz... i think we will get the valis this week.
Great to finally get the validations! One more WR in the hands of the wicked 939 trio:p: (fx55 clawhammer)
Btw, got a 4000+ CAAXC 0432UPMW (you SHOULD recognize the stepping!:D)
Hoping to get the 4000+ Clawhammer WR, it's at 3600mhz atm.:)
My new FX60 passed through customs on friday, too. Hopefully, it'll be good enough to break the WR as well (3875 mhz). Aaaaalmost the EXACT same batch # as my 154:p: So I have high hopes for it:D
Aaaargh... I wanna bench NOW!!!:( But no cooling and no board:p:
That 4000+ should rocks I think. I search also for this cpu. I had one 4000+ clawhammer in the past but could only test it under single stage for 3524 mhz...under ln2 it should break that 3.6 ghz.
I have a feeling that the 3500+ Clawhammer record might be harder than teh 4000+. Only 70 mhz less, and with 11 multi instead of 12 you need quite a bit higher temps I think.
I remember I ALMOST got an FX55 AAAXC 0434UPMW once... still wonder if that one would've made it all the way to 4 ghz... Unfortunately, FX55's have suddnely become VERY popular, quite a few went for like 200 bucks on us ebay lately:p: I'm glad I bought all my chips for less than half of that ridicolus price:D
btw: we killed my WR 4000+ SanDiego... it's a dual-core now. :D the DIE is splitted in the middle. :)
destroyed all athlons XP :D i have approximately 200 athlon XPs :D
and oldest tualatin on the way.. <i own oldest core 2 duo, K8 and tualatin> :)
Haha:D How the heck did you do that?
Reminds me of my poor, delidded 3800+ venice (which was even better than the one I got to 386x mhz...). Tried to run it with no Ceramique on the die. No boot, and after a little while it was very clear that a part of the core was loose:p:
Still my worst OC experience:shakes: And I've ruined 2 Venus mobos + God knows what:rolleyes:
well the storry was that: on my wr run back in the days i could boot with only 1.74v. so i've desided to try it with an copper-pot. the temps were better, means i gave more vcore... no problem till 1.9v... then the system powered off and didn't start anymore. but the cpu had not a good day anyway.. because the max i've reached was 3830mhz (you know wr is 3941mhz)... after that power off... we removed the pot and stunned_guy mounted a hs on the chip... power on, and there was the sound "knack"...
ohhhh man look at that!!! it's a quad-core!!!!! :horse:
http://octs.ripping.org/sandiego_quad.jpg
Nice split but sorry for the killing action :(
@ Knut
I got 2 days ago an FX-55 SD for 60 euro  Its not the best stepping but for ln2 it schould do 3.9 Ghz. Its an 0520 RPMW...i had this one a while ago could prime it to 3.5 ghz without hs.
oh man i love the guys from cpu-z!!! our wr's validated :D strike!!!

Nice WR's, but the FX53 WR is a bit... weird, because of the HIGH HTT:D
400+ mhz - wth!
hehe of course the htt is correct but the clock should be 7866mhz... hahahaha
will be corrected
The hypertransport isnt correct it should be 436 mhz not more than 1000 :D
haha i've coded a new feature for ripping.org today and realized that knut is the top wr. check it out hunter http://www.ripping.org/database.php?top30=wr
That's absolutely (K)nuts :D
I never realized that so few people had more than one or two records
nice feature bro :toast:
yes i've tought, i had a bug in the code... but he's really the master. :D
He has stolen me some records :( But I will strike back ;) Thats my buisseness.
hehe like the people after a soccer game of the swiss national-team always say: good played, but loosed. :horse:
I consider this thread one of the best here at XS  keep it up you crazy sobs!!!! :D I love this old school AMD stuff.
Yeap, amazing it'll have more than 2000 posts in the near future :)
is someone here willing to translate ripping.org in an other language? :D atm, we're working on german, russian, japanese, chinese, italian. :)
Sure Gianni, ;)
X2 4200+ Toledo --> 2nd place :banana:
Very hard cold bug --> 215 mhz @ -33c :
I had to turn off the evap to cool down for the htt over 300 mhz --> still cold bug 301 mhz @ +1c...
But the cpu will not goes higher with more voltage I used for the validation 1.664 v. I tried more than 1.856 v but nothing were done.
Prime runs with 3.1 ghz @ 1.472 v --> have to make loose the evap during prime :D
Lol @ awful coldbug!
Just won a CAAXC 0432XPBW FX53:D
I cross my fingers it's good enough. At least it was cheap!:)
Yeah...
But if XPBW is good I will eat my cat :D I dont think that it will goes high but with ln2 it should do 3.7 ghz ;)
Hehe, nice price on that :banana::banana::banana:ty FX53;)
...I paid about 2/3 of the winning bid atm for that XPBW.:p:
How about
ADA3500DEP4AS
CAA2C 0503MPMW
?
I presume it'll have a bad cold bug?
I have here an CAA2C 0507 BPMW Clawhammer --> cold bug -21c @ 362 mhz.... ;)
Another one CAAZC 0452 MPMW has it at -28c and 331 mhz.
I can't get it :brick:
Clawhammers usually have very nice coldbugs. But stay clear of CAAGC-chips. They DO have a bug at below 300MHz htt on dice (used alot of voltage, too).
I did a little bit of benching yesterday, btw. Tried some new stuff (like my FX60 and 185), and some older ones. Scores here:
http://www.diskusjon.no/index.php?sh...ost&p=11232890
All tests done on water cooling, with water temp at 20-25c.
3600+ clawhammer ??? whats that ? i never heard of them.
very nice scores under dice with these opterons....so it should no problem to use ln2 for it.
Ok, i thought there was some faulty :D
were do you get this 3600+ clawhammer ? i never heard of it. can you show me one picture of the cpu please ?
hehe you are on place 5 with the 3400+ venice :D
I forgot to say where I get the 3600+ from;) The one I tried 2 days ago was from the dude who sends me all those Axxxx-chips. The other one was something I got on ebay. Unfortunately, the seller had an FX55 AAAXC as well which I wanted - but I had no chance to get it as it went for 250 bucks!
The 3600+ I tried this time is a PAAPC 0401. The other one is PAAPC 0350:D I hope I get it within a couple of weeks.
3000+ winchester in the mail last night, btw. CBBFD 0441TPMW.
I tested my second Opteron 185 LCBBE 0628 BPMW....3600 mhz with 1.472 volts only for the first tests :D should do 3.8 ghz i hope.
-22c was the best higher there will be cold bug. now i will test some more :D max temp is -35c with my single stage in windows.
I need between -22c and -18c...if the temp will be warmer the pc shut down.
http://www.abload.de/thumb/xxxyqa.jpg :( :( :(
you´re right....that is my first opteron 185 LCBBE 0628 BPMW. it dies with 1.68 volts :( you can see it in the picture....under the die there you can see a small black point...thats silicone. it smells horrible :D
-18c is to "hot" for the cpu and it freezes or shut down. i need around -22c....
now i have 3779 mhz with 1.664 volts only and there is no end....can run superpi 1m with around 3.6 ghz by the way....what a chip !
when do you get your opteron 185 models ? i need some comparison.
disable one core and you'll crack the 3.8ghz ;)
CCBBE 0613RPMW: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=365628 Opty 185 @ 3562MHz / 1.63v / 39c/45c
Best spi screen I got is attached.:)
awesome. hey I'll be joining you guys when i throw my 185 under SS. lcb9e 0742cpmw. 59°C tcase, very temp sensitive. gonna be interesting.
why can core temp not read out the tdp ? i have the same problem with the opteron 185 only.
@ biohead
LCB9E will sucks under coldness.
New Castle(?)
ADA3500DEP4AS
CAA2C 0505 FPMW
Any good? :)
I dont know...try it then you will know it :D
@ Knut
I have no water cooling so I have to do SuperPi with single stage only.
my current chip runs extremely hot. the 180 i had previously (still have it, pins missing) was also a lcb9e (vcore limited):
http://valid.x86-secret.com/cache/screenshot/205255.png
so I'll play around with this 185.
Its an Clawhammer not Newcastle because of the AS --> Clawhammer. Newcastle has AW at the end of the line.
I have here an CAA2C 0507 BPMW --> needs coldness but I have no LN2 to test it out. Cold bug is not very high around 270 mhz and -28c.
@ Knut
I tested the opteron 185 today again but couldnīt kill your score. More voltage isnīt the key :( My best result was 3788 mhz with 1.68 volts...
But prime will runs with 3200 mhz and default vcore
The temperature between the two cores is around 20c under load. -8c to -28c :D
You killed him ?
