I hope AMD knows nvidia is bluffing or something and totally trounces them in performance or something
i want a new g80 card :)
hopefully the gtx380 will do it... but i'm not sure... its still on the wrong design path (size and load power)

i think seeing an example of a dx11 game running live would be the coolest, and probably very hard to do
cause i'm selfish and want either one or both to be a can of woop ass
Yep. The tooth and nail fight going on right now is awesome, look at the drastic price cutting Nvidia was forced into, Nvidia hardware is essentially half the price it would "normally" be without real competition.
BTW:
Loose: a hooker
Lose: opposite of win.
Seems to a common mistake and it bugs me for some reason.
absolute bs. the gt300 is taped out and 40nm mobil hardware should be launched at computex (rumored dx10.1) or shortly thereafter.Quote:
Nvidia has yet to tape out a DX11 part or put a 40nm chip on the market.
charlie is right about one thing, ati will be demo-ing dx11 hardware tomorrow, at 11:00 not 12:00. i've heard this a few places. i can't believe the inq was paying him, and i can't believe he managed to find another job... :shakes:
I think he owns the new site. So he's working for numero uno now.
what time is that in EST?
taped out is taped out. i'm simply pointing out charlie's lies.
you're right, the 40nm parts aren't yet available for purchase, i believe they're still working with tsmc on better yeilds.
Taiwan is GMT+8, it's 9:20am there now, the demo should start in 1hour and 40mins.Quote:

why? I'll just get the news tomorrow, It's not like they are going to release anything even if their DX11 part is ready.
This will be the first glimpse of DX11 running on hardware m8.
Exciting times
EDIT: The event went live a few minutes ago and Engadget Chinese is updating every 5 minutes or so

so... was the new hardware shown yet or not?
It was shown alright.Charlie was right :).
the review stats that going from dx10.1 4890 to dx11 cards isnt going to be big jump in performance so we will see....
