Very loud squeal/skreetch sound so bad you have to exit whatever game you are playing, seems a very common problem with Ati chipsets unfortunatly. Also sometimes the machine wont boot at all. Some links below.

my friends does this. it happens to him when downloading for long periods of time. if he mutes his soundsystem while downolading and leaves the computer on for the night... then he can unmute and stop downloading and have sound.
if he doesn't mute it...he loses sound tho
This is the most beatiful rigs I have ever seen! Keep the good job dude!
So the creative X-Fi will not be recognized by the system?
Thanks for your answers funkflix!
Nice review and keep up the good worke :)
The X-Fi have a lot's of issues on a lot of difference mobo's it all about drivers from creative, ASUS maximus did allso have thise problems before a new driver for the X-Fi came out. so i don't think it's the mobo at all.
Is 0603 the latest BIOS version for ASUS M3A32 board? I can provide it if someone need it.
funkflix, thanks for clearing that up! I guess there is no any newer version except 0603 for the moment.
Update:
My X-Fi is working now flawlessy! It looked like i had some connectivity problems on the PCI-slot. Now i modified my mounting a little bit and it works. :toast:

Good news for SB X-Fi users!! :D
Nice rig and very nice mobo too..imo is the nicest until now in AM2+ ..
awesome board! i like the fact that the NB core is smaller then the SB core lol!
Hey that's looking pretty wicked
EBL
ok anyone got any readings on the NB and SB temperatures?
well...you don't want these babies cooking ?? why wouldn't there be a readout... does that copper heatpiping and memory copper work that well?
The chipset uses around 10 watts. The piping is there to make you buy the product, not because it is needed.
Am currently looking at this board how do phenom perform on these boards!
Personally I found this board to be quite unstable compared to MSI and Gigabyte when using Phenom. And for some strange reason NB/SB generates more heat then Gigabyte board - you can feel it to the touch.
the ASUS, as I have noticed and said, has always run hotter on NB/SB temsp than any other board i have known
instability... explain please
