guess i'm in this same category of not being able to OC a single Mhz...
glad to hear tha ninja made it out of the vicious cycle whereas myself is still very much in it. i've tried all ninja's and john's method (except the change of gfx cos i don't have a spare) but to no avail.
i'm using:

2 x 1GB CVS DDR2 667
DS4
7600GT
450W PSU
Guys, its 99% likely that its your graphics card causing it... i couldnt o.c a single mhz with my old 6800GT but with an x1300 pro im at 400 fsb so far

i also cant go futher 450x7. i'm using DS4.. and when i read this thread regarding gfx, i tried to oc my ati card but it just hang. i guess my card has problem with this board :(

I dont think your gfx is what is limiting your o/c... what happened to me was that i could not even enable cpu or pci-e clock control without it resetting the cmos settingsQuote:

i've just confirmed that there is some incompatibilty between ds4 and 7600GT. i changed to an ati x550 and the board works like charm...
now i'm in a dilemma whether to change the gfx or to rma the board...
oic. i already uninstalled driver, cleaned the registry and install the latest driver from ATi website.. but still cant use the overdrive function. I dunno why.Quote:

I cant get any stability past 450 either, was stuck at 430 until yesterday although dont ask me what settings I changed to hit 450. We should get a thread going with everyones bios settings and get to the bottom of this random stuff. 450 is good i reckon... i cant get more than 400 because my ram is limiting me :mad:
Take a look what at your chipset. It might be so that yours is manufactured at different plant

Hey guys about this video card thing. I have an interesting note to share.
I'm currently stuck at 430fsb and tried for 48 hours stragiht this weekend to get past it and no matter how many volts i add it won't budge. One thing i noticed is that sometimes...especially on higher failed clocks when after saving settings to bios when the machine posts my monitor will say "can not display this input' or something like that.
Most times it flips back on when windows is about finished loading or if i'm in bios and a few times it just stays blank. What i've had to do is toggle through my monitor inputs and go back to DVI then it's instanly picked up.
I've tried PEG and PCI with the same random results. Thoughts?
