If you order from outside of Germany KMelektronik is recommended from me too. In case of warranty, they handle it pretty well. :)

Man Zeus those are some immaculate pictures you have there! You build is coming along so well, and it's so clean.
Keep up the awesome work.
The build is coming a long very nicely!
Its so clean bro. Job well done :)
Building this rig must be a lot of fun!
Thank you for taking the detailed pictures!
I cant wait to see the finished product!
Bummer on the PSU :( Hope they'll send you a new one asap!
I like how you picked out the one thats completely modular.
The Silverstone casing of your PSU blends wright in with the TJ07.
You just convinced me to go Bitspower all the way. They look shiney :)
I wonder what solution you're going to come up with for the s.panel..
Thanks mate. Well, Preiscompany was by far the cheapest, that's why i went with them. Shot them an email in english yesterday but haven't heard from them yet, maybe they can't read english and i have to translate the email in German. Nils...buddy, friend, bro... :D
Thanks, i'm trying. ;)
Thanks bro.
Don't know what you mean with s-panel but if you mean the midplate, that one's finished mate but i won't show it....yet. ;):D
The front panel isn't going to be the murdermod frontpanel but i've got it together in my head how i want it. (and am working on it, will tell you on msn mate)
My brain is running overtime and the more i ponder the more new ideas i'm coming up with.
Sorry i'm not going flat out but i'd rather show it when it's all put together you see. ;)
Impatience got the better of me so i decided to put parts together, just to see how it looks.
Haven't got any reply to my email about the PSU , i will put things together now and hope i can put the PSU in later without having to take it all apart again. (yeah right! :D)
I'm sure i'll end up taking it apart again but we'll see. :)

I had a fight with the optical drive but i managed to get it worked out, stealthed!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5702.jpg
I mounted a small button in the backside for opening up, just in case. :D
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5677.jpg
Hope you all like it, the screws will off course be replaced with black ones.
the dvd drive is wonderfully executed Zeus
Wow, looks great.
Could you do me a favor and take a picture of the underside of the mid-plate to see how you fastened the mesh to the plate. I really like the meshed look there. Double-sided tape?
Also, it looks like you abandoned the idea of using the Lian Li optical drive cover. How did you stealth it? Double-sided tape to front of tray?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5678.jpg
Man that looks so awesome!!
I couldn't even tell there was an optical drive in there! I especially love your use of the mesh in the midplate.
Job well done, I can't wait to see it with your other parts inside!
Very good looking build.
I love your idea with the mesh in the middle and the botton for the dvd drive.
Looking real good. These murderboxes are getting more popular by every second. For a good reason though.
Thanks, it was a bit of work but it was worth it. ;)
I was afraid of this question coming. :)
Actually i didn't take pics from the underside as it doesn't look that great. I've thought about using double sided tape but sticking that to mesh would attrack way too much dust so i opted for hot glue.
Here you can see a little of it:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5693.jpg
The dvd drive is quite a story in itself.
Basically, i removed the original front, sanded down the part that's on the drawer (don't know if that's the right word?). Then i took a black plastick bezel of an old pc, cut off the sides, drilled 2 holes in it (countersunk) and then drilled 2 holes in the "drawer" .
I screwed the plastic bezel onto the front of the drawer with 2 hammond box screws, took a bezel of the TJ-07, cut off the sides with the dremel and placed it over the plastic bezel.
Tight fit so no need for glue or double sided tape.
I hope you understand, i didn't take any pics during the process, i should have. :p:
Thank you, it was all part of my masterplan.
The mesh was an idea i came up with when i mounted the midplate, i didn't like the look of the 3 large holes actually.
The topgrill is just big enough to cover up the holes when hacked into 2 pieces, really only just, one slip of the dremel should have screwed it up, fortunately i managed.
Excellent execution and well thought out!

Looks beautiful!
Thank you for the prompt response for both of my questions.
Actually, I think that is a very neat job you did with the hot glue and mesh.
Also, it sounded like quite the process for the optical drive cover. Nothing is easy with that. I wish they would make a bay cover like Lian Li.
Looking good Zeus. Great assortment of pleasing pictures, keep em coming.
Thank you all very much, comments like this makes it worth every minute and every penny for me.
No pro. ;) Actually i wanted to mod one of those Lian Li drive covers but it seemed way to complicated, that's why i went with just a plain stealth look.
The front cover was a bit of a hassle as it protruded a little so i kept sanding it down till it fitted. That took the most time actually.
Thank you BA, i had taken a lot of pics but when i examined them i saw fingerprints and dust all over so did lots of cleaning and redid the pics.
Strange how dust and fingerprints look magnfied in pictures.
You know you were worried bout the hot glue, couldn't you just paint over it ? then it wouldn't be as noticable.
Just a thought.
Ninja
Yeah i could have done that but i'm not sure it that would have made it any better to be honest. It's pretty much out of sight so it does not bother me that much.
Today i've been busy building in some lights, i wanted the case to be lighted even and i did not want the light to stand out too much, i think i succeeded pretty well if i may so myself.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5732.jpg
It a strip of white leds mounted in the top on a Zeus special assembly.
Just wondering how are the rads attached to the hammond boxes ? Have you used double sided tape ?
Yes double sided tape.
I don't understand why a lot of people ruin the paintjob with tape when there are holes in the side of the rad. I mount my rad in those holes with a couple of m3 screws and it works like a charm. Wont ruin the paintjob either.
I've thought about that too but the hammond boxes i used aren't wide enough to take up the screws.
I'm not too worried about the paintjob, if i'll ever use the rads in another setup i'll repaint them if needed. ;)
wow man that is one beautiful looking case.
You got a better view of your special LED placement ?
Ninja
this build is looking very nice indeed, i just gotta ask, what is that big LCD screen you got on the front of your case?
Its a "Alphacool LCD-Display 240x128 Pixel Blue neg (Balck Frame) for 5.25inch Bay" I think from looking at the pictures im sure Zeus will confirm this later
But I'm certain that is what it is.
If it is Zeus can you do a picture of the back of it, if possible. I would like to know what the connectors are.
Ninja
Hope this helps "exemay"
This is the best shot i could make in a dark room
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5756.jpg
http://www.alphacool.com/shop/Displa...ack--3832.html
It can display all sorts of things but the main purpose is to monitor my temps and voltages.
http://www.alphacool.com/shop/images...2__25411_3.jpg
It only has an usb-b connector on the back.
It comes with a normal usb cable but i modded (and sleeved off course) a usb cable so that i could connect it internally at the usb headers on the motherboard.
Yeah, or even sideways. Fortunately i don't need the space behind the display and if needed i could easily mount a hdd vertically behind it.
The display is fun, i had it display some logo's and it looked great but the programs that should be supported by the alphcool sofware aren't my favorite to say the least. MBM5 , Asus Probe II (couldn't get that one to work) Everest Ultimate v3.50 and Speedfan (couldn't get that one to work either) It also supports RivaTuner which is nice.
I'm gonna have to spend some more time with the software to get it running the way i want it though.
Ahh ok sounds good how do you get it to display items ? is it simple ? i was looking at getting one from my build but that USB connection turned me against the idea loool.
I like the idea of re-wiring to go in the USB mobo header is an awesome idea
Ninja
think to ask permission first :D
there is one hell awesome photo mate, love the way you take that pic...it will be nice for it to be my wallpaper, Zeus
outstanding result so far, just wanna see more and more !!! and now ! i'm really regret why i'm not take the TJ07 in the first place :shakes:
one more thing Zeus, want to know what extender that you using there between rad and the BP 90', just bought a used pump from someone from australia, never thought he also including one of that BP 90' fitting in package, after i tried to put on my MCR320, somehow it alway lockups into down direction, cant get it to go up position...:(
thx
@anubis....
Could you use rotary fittings ?
Ninja
Wow what attention to detail detail detail very nice :yepp:
thanks for the response on the LCD screen, i was just intrigued as to what it is...but now im thinking about getting one! hehe....is there anyway you can turn it into a temp display, or fan speed display, or is it just for asthetic's?
Yea it can do all of thoes things and more:
Quote from the site.Quote:
The Software enables it to display System information,
like Temperature or Memory use, and also the possibilitiy to show graphics.
With the help of the software you can display external data (i.e) Winamp or Mainboard-Monitor results.
The possibilities are endless!
Example for use:
Displaying system temps, CPU, CPU-load,
Networking Stats, Memory use, Winamp Titles,
News-Feeds (i.e. BBC-World), Game Stats,
Email details,... etc,etc.
Ninja
dam that seems very tempting.....is it very hard to program etc?? i think i may get one :D
No problem for a wallpaper bro. ;)
The extender is just a G3/8-G1/4 adapter as the Thermochills are using G3/8 thread, that' s all.
Thank you. ;)
Yes that's the main purpose for me really. As said, it can display MBM5, speedfan, Evereste Ultimate v3.50 and Asus Probe II among other things, so there's plenty of options to make it a temp/fanspeed display. :)
hey zeus i was looking at your build log and where do you the u channel for those holes you made
Not sure about your question but i think you mean the rubber moulding.
Dont know where you're from Petra's has 'm:
http://www.petrastechshop.com/neruedtrmo.html
This is a bit thick but nice stuff.
I used the one from Highflow.nl:
http://www.highflow.nl/modding/panel...-trim-1m-.html
That one is smaller and a bit more subtile, both do a fine job though.
Hi Zeus,
if you take a look at http://geizhals.at/eu/?sb=4417, you will see that this company has a bad reputation for handling warranty requests. Maybe to send them mails twice a day would speed up the process a little bit ... ;)
But do yourself a favor and check this reputation list first, before you place another order. I can recommend K&M, like Nils already did. We have a local shop here in Nuremberg, where I always buy my hardware and never had problems with RMA requests.
Your worklog is very interesting and I'm really curious how a finished MurderMod with a normal ATX board (not inverted) will look like. In my opinion it is harder to run all the tubing in a non inverted ATX environment.
Thanks man. I wish i had checked their reputation before i ordered but it's too late for that now.
Yesterday i got a reply from them saying i should contact Silverstone Netherlands and do rma via them.
What good of an advice is that as there doesn't even exsist a department of Silverstone in the Netherlands, there's just Silverstone Europe, situated in Germany-- of all places, lol!
I already contacted them but they could not help me, they're not doing rma for things like PSU's they say.
K&M is ok but they don't sell Silverstone PSU's unfortunately.
Just wish me luck with that lazy reseller. :(
Ok, that is a problem, I didn't check this before.
But I can also recommend Alternate, a lot of my friends and colleagues are ordering there and they have also a shop in the Netherlands http://www.alternate.nl!
Why did'nt you order from them?
Erm...that psu i ordered was €134 at Preiscompany and €159 at Alternat here in NL, that's why.
Now i regret, Alternate is only a 30 miniute drive from my place. :(
Love the LED placement. I actually have the exact same ones at the exact same place :D
Great mind think alike :)
Hey Al, i think this is the best placement for the LEDs. I tried different placements but this came out best. ;)
Decided to give the PSU one more try before wrapping her up and send her right back.
After some strange noise she came alive..the fan spun up but it kept making ticking/clicking sounds. I stopped the fan to see if it was the fan making this sound but it wasn't.
Then i decided to measure on the molex once again, 5V was indeed 5V, joy!
12v...21.4V!!
I'm so glad i did not connect my system to it. :yepp:
I finally got green light to send it back, let's hope the new one will be here soon.
thx zeus :)
Zeus, i really have to say you have a very interesting worklog....very nice setup...
And i have to thank you about mentioning the Hiflow.nl webshop...I was not aware of it, while I recently searched for a EU shop to have Bitspower fittings and other stuff not available in my country.....It has great stuff and i was just informed that it ships to Greece...
Thanx...Keep up with your work...
Great news on the PSU.
You dont happen to know where I can aquire 4GB of Cellshock black do you ? :p:
Zeus, where did you pick those LED strips up from? Are they the same as THESE from Performance PCS?
You're welcome. ;)
Thanks.:)
Yeah Highflow is a nice shop but not the cheapest though.
Have you tried www.aquatuning.de? They sell Bitspower too.
Yeah, finally, sigh... Sorry mate don't know where to get Cellshock anymore.
They look like it but they're not. I've got those:
http://www.aquatuning.de/images/prod...400/3959_0.jpg
http://www.aquatuning.de/product_inf...lusskabel.html
Cheers, thanks! Glad to hear you got the PSU issue straightened out.
@Nightmare: Cellshock doesn't make ram anymore, you'll have to pick up a kit used :\
Since Silverstone Europe refused to RMA my PSU directly i decided to remove their name from my project:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5762.jpg
Silverwho?
alphawho? ;)
Why wouldn't Silverstone RMA your psu?
Also what did you use to strip the logo?
first off great build......second do you think its at all possible to get a feeser quad in the bottom of one of these>?....looks kinda tight with a 360 in there but i was thinking maybe i could moved it farther forward and mod the side panel some...thanx in advance.
They just refused cause rma always goes via the reseller, they will only rma small parts.
Shot ya a pm. ;)
Nice guess but not even close :D. I searched for Goof Off but it's not available in Europe. I've heard it works great though.
Thanks.
A Feser 480 does fit the bottom section, check out theseeker's thread called murder madness jr, he's got one in his case.
ty very much....keep up the great work..
I tried pure Acetone and it worked ;)
keep up the good work Hollander ;)
5 Stars!!!
I like your work and want to compliment you on your attention to detail. If I didn't have a murderMod TJ07 case already I would be inspired to get one after seeing your work. Nice pics too!
Thanks guys, really appreciated!
I'm gonna make a new revision of that led strip mounting as the plastic i used wasn't straight and it ended up a bit wonky.
Edit: Zeus ledstrip mounting rev 2:

It looks pretty good in person if i may say so myself. :)
Still no PSU here and no more replies to my emails, don't EVER buy anything from Preiscompany.de guys! I'm thinking about buying a new PSU and sell this one off as soon as i've got it back--this is taking far too long for my liking. :(
Heya what cooler do you plan on using in the North Bridge of the M4A79? I just picked up one bit I don't want to put it together until I know I can cool the NB/SB . i was thinking of buying a spare heat sink for a M4A79 and modding it with an MCW30.
Fantastic work Zeus!
I love the midplate mesh mod - very nicely executed. You've really done an outstanding job with this build and photography; bravo Sir! :)
I think i'll leave the chipset with the stockcooling like it is. All the hard work happens in the CPU since the memcontroller is in the CPU itself-- good enough for me. ;)
Thanks Charles, it means a lot coming from you. Your builds inspired me the most of all excellent M|M builds around here. Sorry for stealing your idea's. ;)
Sick and tired of waiting i got me a new PSU (gonna sell the RMA'd one once it comes in -if ever :D).
Once again i tried to jumpsart it to test it before building it into my case and was faced with the same cr@p as before! WTF?
I made a new thread here : http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=220045
Long story short, it seems impossible to jumpstart this PSU by just connecting the green to a black wire.
On a brighter note, i finally got a PSU and can start sleeving now. :)
in order to bleed zeus you dont need to jump it. just take the 24 pin power and plug it into the mobo, but leave all PCI-E and CPU 8-pin power off of the board. then you can use the switch on the case and the SPU hardswitch in tandem until the loop is filled.
I promise it is perfectly safe, I have done it 15 times at least
Thanks Snipe but it was not my intention to bleed actually. I just wanted to check if the PSU was ok before starting the dreaded sleeving job. It would be really painfull to find out the PSU was doa after the sleeving job, i'd rather find out prior to that painfull job. :D
Talking about sleeving, i got this one finished already :) :
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5783.jpg
I hope to start with the sata power cables tomorrow so that i can put my build together this weekend. :)
Nice one Zeus! You did a great job with the length and position of the heat shrink. Good job!
Great job Zeus. Does it bring you satisfaction knowing you did a terrific job?
Welcome to the sleevers club! Great job:up:
 well done - nice sleeve job
but one pic is never enough ;)
Thanks. :) I have to say i'm not 100% satisfied with the way the heatshrink came out, i've cut all pieces exactly the same length and slid them all onto the first part of the pin but in the end there was still difference in length though.
Thanks BA my fingers still hurt, using 1/8 shrinktube makes it a lot harder.
Thanks man! Like i'd already seen in your pic, the wires do not go 1:1 from one connector to the other, the wires are crossed here and there, did you notice that too?
Thanks Dangals, your guide helped me, the smaller shrinktube you advised makes it look smoother than the 6mm shrinktube i used before, this 1/8 shrinktube fits into the plastic housing of the connector and makes it look neat and clean. :)
Two more pics for you my friend:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5785.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5784.jpg
The more I read these sleeving posts the more I want to join the club! AHHH!!! I can't keep pulling out my wallet like this. Oh and question, I heard a hot knife helps your sleeve jobs be more snug, how does that work exactly??
Zeus, the sleeving job looks great .... You've inspired me bite the bullet an order some MDPC sleeving to try it out on my current build.
Hopefully I can get it to look as good as yours... Keep up the work on this great build.
Breaking out the wallet is never easy but it shouldn't be a problem for a good cause like this, right? :D
I don't know about hot knifes, i'm just using a plain pair of scissors and a lighter--nothing hi-tec here. ;)
Glad i could inspire you, sleeving is not a lot of fun to do but the result is very rewarding. Good luck with your build. Buildlog?
A very big thank you goes out to XS member Jokester_wild for sending me these awesome cable clamps:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5788.jpg
That will make cablemanagement easier. :yepp:
Wow I love how you glued together the LED strip. How did you do that exactly? Where did you get the metal casing for it?
Thanks.
Actually it ain't metal, it's plastic 25x25mm L-profile, trimmed down to the dimensions in the drawing and then glued together.
The gap in between the two profiles is tight enough that the led strip is stuck in between. (somewhat jammed)
As the ledstip has a silicone coating it's impossible to use glue or doublesided tape to mount it, hence my creation.
Thanks for the heads up... here is my build if you ever bored want to check it out - LINK
Also pretty clever design on the LED strip, turned out very clean.
Nice build Zeus.
Keep up the good work.
Any news on the psu yet?
Gr Yil
Thanks Yil.
Not a word on the darn PSU, thursday i got a reply from them: We will send you an info tomorrow. That was all.
I've got more sleeving to do now. ;)
Aaaah! My poor little fingers. :D
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5791.jpg
I'm done!! :)
Congratulations on finishing the sleeving! It is very satisfying.
NICE! That looks REALLY good! You certainly have got the feel for this. Uniformity, stretching etc. Excellent execution!
Great Job!!!!
those finger will heal very fast ;)
Your sleeving is excellent - you really did a nice job - as with everything in your build so far!
I can't tell you how glad i was when i was done. :D The result is rewarding indeed.
Too much credit man. I'm only a novice trying to make most out of it. But thanks for the bunch of flowers, your work is at least as awesome.
Thanks bud, i know. I use to say: Pain is temporary, pride is forever. :)
Thanks shazza, the build is coming along nicely now. I've just been putting in the PSU and am working on cable management.
Because i've been thinking 10 steps ahead it was simply putting the cables the way i had though out when i could not sleep and most cables are already in position now.
The molex cable is gonna be a bit hard to route cause it has to run in between the rads at the bottom part.
I'm sure i'll get it done before i hit the bed tonite. :)
Here are the cables connected to the Silverstone powerhouse:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/IMG_5792.jpg
More pics to come (probably tomorrow).
There is no SEXIER pic in the world !!!
:hump::hump::hump::hump::hump::hump: hahahah
There is so much sleeving! Nice job!
