I have seen alot of TJ series.. wanted to show my SG01. This is my HTPC / Mild Gaming PC :)

The only problem is it would require a rework of my desk layout and I want to Watercool the GPU's and MB. But a WaterKeg might be the answer to that if the insides were flipped so the Keg window was on the same side as the window of the case with the Keg sitting on top.
I can just see it now... New Home Owners Insurance requirement in California would require all owners of a TJ07/Vaprchill/WaterKeg all stacked on top of each other would need to be strapped to the wall so it does not fall over in case of a earth quake !
Nightly news: Computer Geek was frozen last night when a 7.0 earth quake hit California. His computer fell on top of him and his so called WaterKeg thing spilled fluid all over him and was frozen after his Vaporchill evap head had broken loose and came in contact with the man. However a XtremeSystems forum poster rushed to the scene and simply upped the vcore on his CPU and OC'd the Proc to 5.5 Ghz. This generated enough heat to thaw the man out and achieve a new OC record, screens will be posted at 11:00.
But a Tagan A+ Black Pearl would fit that bill just fine. Gah ! that’s a sweet case also :)
WOW, OMG OMG!!! Nice rig you got there!! I'm interested in doing a water cooled system but want to spiff up the case a bit with a coat of paint. Can I ask what procedure you used on your PC and what kind of paint it was?Quote:

can anyone tell me how to flip the motherboard tray in my tj07 ala btx style? i know it's gotta be pretty easy. im getting my case tomorrow and i want to be ready.
It is pretty easy although more involved than you might think just looking at it.
Since everything unscrews in the TJ (with one exception), the job requires very little permanent modification.
You'll have to remove and modify (or just replace ) the fan mount/grill in the caseroof as it will foul the motherboard after it's flipped.
The backplane panel is symetrical top/bottom and requires no modification but the channels that the tray panel slides in are different and do need changing.
The channel on the roof unscrews while the one on the subfloor is riveted and needs to be drilled to remove. * This riveted channel could be left in place- it's not needed for the swap. I removed mine because I had no intention of going back to stock...
These channels are not identical so you'll need to swap them- I found that the upper channel wasn't needed for stability, so I left it off.
The (formerly) top channel needs to go on the subfloor and will require spacing up to actually meet the motherboard tray (IIRC, about 3/16").
When you get the case, just remove the roof fan grill and flip the motherboard tray/backplane and you'll see what needs to be done.
Here's a small worklog from when I did this a year and a half ago.
Edit: A few tips about handling this case...
One sweet feature of the TJ is the fact that it's screwed together and that's going to make modifying it much simpler.
BUT...be very careful when undoing the rear struts that tie the open end of the main u-piece together.
That main section will want to spring open as soon as you loosen the strut screws, it's under a bit of tension as assembled.
Also, the sidepanel fit can be extremely finicky- I could barely slide mine off as it came out of the box.
Tweaking the screws on the rear struts can help alleviate this although I still consider it to be the biggest weakness of the case design.
Mine is a very early example and SS may have fixed this since, I don't know.
Also, be gentle with the screws that thread into the main chassis.
These are all blind threaded holes and the aluminum is fairly soft...you bugger them up and you're dead (or at least facing a PITA repair).

i've not tried it yet but you shouldn't have to switch the bottom rail to the top and top to the bottom. if you leave the top one on top and bottom on the bottom there wouldnt be a change in spacing.

My TJ has been sitting unused for nearly a year but I've been meaning to get back to it and this gave me the nudge, so...

In the second shot you can see the two spacers (they are white nylon purchased from Ace Hardware) needed to properly set the runner's height. I used the pre-existing holes in the runner and drilled/tapped the subfloor (it's thick enough to tap, really) to match.
You'll have to trim the end of the runner nearest the back of the floor to clear the capture nut on the floor's flange...you'll see what I mean if you do this...
Also note that I completely opened up the holes in the subfloor into one big one instead of the two that Silverstone used.
This makes running wiring and tubing (if you watercool) a lot easier and since the floor is out anyway, now would be the time to do it.
First time I’ve been in the case section so I thought I’d add mine to the mix.
I’ve just stripped the whole thing down to clean the blocks and change the tubing to uv blue so I’ll post the new look when it’s done.

i love the TJ03. Tubing could do with a clean and some blue UV coolant then it would be pimpin.

@nzbleach, yeah the tubes and coolent needed changing but it's all cool now as I redid the whole loop for the new gear.
@Vargher Warg, those are not springs or coils their Weilded Nickel Rings (4mm x 3/4"). I found these ring at my local hardware store and thought to myself these would make cool anti-kink for the tubing and the fit snug on 1/2"ID-3/4"OD tubing.

Even without PSU cables.....nah, its a different offscene computer running that monitor.
And yes there is a keyboard there somewhere. Though its missing both the F-key and the SPACE-key. So that will also be replaced soon.

Realised my tubes needing cleaning out so it gave me another opportunity to further my wire hiding skills, move ccfls to back of case and get rid of my led fans.
1st pic is before I cleaned up tubes!!
Just watch out to avoid any accidental contact with rings and your hardware.
Or, you WILL have "fryware" instead!
The thought of that is even more frightening thanwater in a PC case:D

Hey m8, to attach the fill ports to the res I just used a small length of tubing. The rubber O-Rings came with the fill ports. :)

How do you fill up water in your reservoir ? I need ideas how to setup the reservoir inside the case. my case is fill with power cables from PSU. It is short of space.Quote:

:up:sorry for the late reply picard - i used an 8 pin extender cable so the Cpu 8pin power cable can be seen routed above the mobo where it joins the other power cables which i zippied/loomed together - its not a modular Psu - you can see the spare cables wrapped together in front of the Psu, some great rigs guys.Quote:
