Well, I thought I knew what mobo I was getting but now I'm not sure. I was looking at the DFI DK P35-T2RS, but I keep reading about the PWM (I read that has to do with voltage regulation and heat of the CPU) being better (8 phase over 4) with the LT. I plan on OC'ing an E3110 to 4GHz and then play games with my eVGA 8800 GTX.
I don't want to mess with the transpiper and all that, so would the DFI LT P35-T2R be a better choice? Not concerned about the money.

hey guys. what happens if bios update fails? i tried to update the bios using winflash and it stucked. then restart but with no post screen. just blank screen. the bios is screwed i guess? is there anything that i can do to recover the bios? thanks

Edit: For future referance, do not flash in Windows. Make sure you are stable @ stock settings and flash in DOS.

right now i'm trying different GTL settings, but a strange thing is happening: i found that 58/60/64 runs about a two hours instead of an hour and a half for 58/60/65, but if prime fails and i restart it after those two hours then it wont last a minute! is this common? should i only prime after a fresh reboot?
i've held the same sequence with testing all along:
1. run Spi 1M
2. boot cpu-z 2x, smart guardian and speedfan (both read exact same temps)
3. boot prime 25.6 and start a blend test.

i searched this thread, but couldn't find anything: does any1 else have troubles with overvolting of the cpu?
my bios VID is 1,34375, but cpu-z reads out 1.360V constantly with droop disabled. With droop enabled the Vcore drops to 1.344 under load.
edit 1:
tweaking the GTL or disabling droop didn't help my pc get stable at 8x510, so i'm now upping the Vnb to 1.65, if that doesn't work then i think i'll increase the "SBcore/CPU PLL", and as last i'll try the VTT (means more GTL tweaking :S)... sounds right?

VNB didn't do the trick: prime fails after 1m :S CPU PLL is up next..

Does anyone have any recommendations for 2x1 gb RAM kits for this board? It seems as though the crucial ballistix have overclocked quite well, and I see Praz used some OCZ Reapers in his posts a few pages back which yielded some nice everest memory benchmark scores (thanks Praz for posting those results and the 2x2gb results by the way!).
However, as I understand it from comments posted in this and other threads, the new crucial ballistix revision does not overclock nearly as well as its predecessor, and that newer OCZ memory also is not capable of the same performance as the older versions. If this is indeed the case, is there a currently available memory that anyone would recommend?

quick edit 3: what temps are u guys reading on NB and PWM? my chipset can go as high as 52 degrees (nothing weird on 1.61 vNB, but still) and pwm stays <=50 on load. should i reattach my NB block?

i already got 2pcs dead e8400 because of that. it kills my cpu even @ 1.4vcore :(
by now i've tried everything, but i cant seem to get it stable at 510fsb, so i'll be trying to get the cpu higher with 9x multi.
I'm on air and my pwm and nb don't go over 40c.
Did you try going lower than mid 60s on gtls? At 510fsb, did you try vtt at 1.15v and gtl at 59/59/59?

prime error after 4 hours, now priming with 1.376 vCore under load (cpu-z reading) at 8x 513 (makes a nice 4100 mhz).
btw: this board makes 8x 513 =4106.6Mhz, while my P5K-E made it 4104... two and a half extra free mhz's!!!! :D
Team Xtreem could also be a nice choise. They seem to be running pretty cheap on newegg.
