Forgive me for this dumb question but what and where can I find Linx so that I may test my OC ? Also just to let you know everything booted fine with those settings. Thanks again for your help.

Just a suggestion, rather than setting it to use all system memory, take the max amount it displays and subtract 100mb or so. Or you may start running into virtual memory issues which will make the test not accurate.

but you only started to clock....test with linx then increase bclk :up:
sombody knows how to set skews on this board? is there any guide? beacouse I can't find stability setting it and I have to leave it on auto

It passed the 20 cycle test so now I'm going to bump the bclk up 10 and try it.

It's taking me 1.4vcore to get the CPU stable at 21x with a 191BCLK.

My chip batch is 3836B. Isn't that vcore a bit high?

Also, I have HT On.

I think it depends on the cpu.....but anyway the frequency is high and not a lot of cpus can do better than yours....

my cpu will pass linx 191x21 but fail p95 blend i've tried with vcore up to 1.375 but temps get way to high to try more vcore

Look carefully at the CPU speed with CPU-z or Realtemp while using high stress with the 21x multiplier. Use LinX if possible. You will notice the multi will drop back to 20x, where it is less stable than 21x...

Yes I am seeing that while I run p95, it fluctuates quite often. So that means 20x is less stable than the 21x multi?

ich is the north bridge voltage and ioh is the south bridge voltage.....until 210 of bclk I set on thefault those setting 1.1v then i had only to increase ich volte at 1.2 to find stability :)

I am also waiting for the news about the p6t vanilla new bios and I hope there will be something like the deluxe that seems the only board that allows this 21x multiplayer right now

Is there any good guide online how i should start to oc?

What settings to enable and disable in the bios etc???

I've got a feser 360 with push-pull config but I'm new to oc'ing :)

cai tweaker manual cpu ratio 21x bclk 150 pll 1.8 cpu vcore 1.25 ich 1.1 ioh 1.1 dram bus voltage 1.65 test with linx the increase the bclk if there are not errors

I have e-mailed this issue to my higher up contact at Asus. They never respond to me, but I believe they are listening to what I say, because I had also e-mailed them about the lack of 21x and 23x multiplier, and poof! We now have the 1303 BIOS! :)

Now all we need is the option to disable the over TDP setting like some of the other boards including intel ;)

Any adapters for the Tuniq Tower 120? Will it do better than the hyper N520? It seemd to do a good job on my q9550.

I think I read somewhere that the Tuniq is not capable of properly cooling an overclocked i7 because it gets so hot that the liquid in the heatpipes evaporates and is unable to properly condense again, which leads to very ineffective cooling. The Thermalright TRUE is supposed to be the best as far as air cooling goes, maybe aside from those two gigantic coolers from Scythe. Keep in mind, this is just what I've heard. I don't have any personal experience here and can't guarantee the accuracy of the information.
