Not bad dude , your almost running the same exact setting I am except for the mch core which ya have is a lil higher and the mch ref with ya have a lil lower , those temps your running is that with the prime running , if it is man your cooling is doing great ! ! ! , Im pushing 58 - 60 celcius and im running a double 120 and a single 120 , but im running 3 year old black ice extreme radiators with like helicopter fans , there not very efficient anymore and maybe next month ill flip out for XSPC RX360 with meduim fans that should do the trick bring me down another maybe 4 c ...
overall dude nice man ,
I dont know if these gskills pi ddr2 900 will hold much higher , with out loosing the timing ive heard on like one forum , that these are really the gskills pi 800 just pushed harder , but for sure tommorow ill try see if theyll hold .. what kind of cooling are you using hoss331 ?
well this morning i tried lowing the vcore down one notch
for my 9x500@4500 ddr1200 and it worked:D
it was at 1.356 in bios for 1.32v in windows
now it 1.350 bios still 1.32v in windows, but damn thats just great:up:
it helped with temps by a few degrees:D
they were on average 47c to 50c load before
and now they are 40c to 46c load
before

after

Thanks Dude! Yup those were my temps while prime was still running. My CPU Utilization is at 100% on the Everest side bar. I just have a Silverstone FM123 pushing air at 1,600rpm on the TR HR-01+.
I was thinking of getting the Megahelems, but the HR-01+ is doing its job. I got mine with a flat base, hand picked, LOL!
@radaja
Nice man! 1.32v vcore in windows is great for that OC you got!:up:
thanks guys,its nice running 4500 ddr1200.
working on this now 4500@1.31v:D

Thanks, 1.15
The ram should have some leeway, 461 would only be 922 and if there rated to 900 there probably the higher binned 800s. In case they wont do 922 just do a large fft run first instead of blend. Coolings in the sig.
Intel says TJ Target=100C for the 45nm Dual Core.
http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/3558/inteltj.png
Intel calls this number Target TJ. They shoot for 100C but what they end up with is anybody's guess. Intel did not admit to how much error is in this number so it is somewhat useless information.
I thought TJMax was closest to 95C originally but Intel says it is closer to 100C in their presentations last year so I changed it in RealTemp.
The truth is that there is probably 10C or more of error in actual TJMax on 45nm Core 2 CPUs. Two CPUs of the same model number might have an actual TJMax that is completely different. 100C is Intel's best guess but I have no idea if that is an average value or a minimum or a maximum. Nobody knows.
That's why comparing the reported core temperature of two different uncalibrated CPUs is pointless.
thanks zucker2k,after a little tweaking i finally got it stable at 1.31v@4500:D:D i raised the vtt to 1.28 and the vdimm to 2.14
cause when i first tried 1.31v i also tried vdimm at 2.12v but it failed after 27minutes:mad:
so i did some adjustment and all i have to say is this cpu awesome:shocked:

Dam thats a awesome CPU radaja  - also awesome work overclocking it  I wish I had a E8x00 that good.
I could do with some help trying to stabilise my system folks and see you are doing some great work here!
I am working my way up the FSB Scale, trying to be as thorough as possible with the tests to ensure stability but currently Prime95 is proving to be my Nemesis!
It passes 20x IBT Trials ok as well as OCCT 1hr Linpack and 9hrs Standard but more often than not fails Prime95 (Small & Large tested so far) or sometimes even locks the system up forcing a reboot.
My current 480FSB template (I am however testing it with CPU Vcore five steps up from default @ 1.30625V BIOS / 1.248V Windows)...
I would really appreciate some advice...D-an-WCode:*************************************

radaja and others, I have an E8500 with a VID of 1.25 (although box says 1.26 max). So, should I assume that my chip will at 9x500 like yours, but take more vcore to do it? Also, mine should run cooler than your also right? I need 1.375 in bios for 8x500fsb, so I wonder what I would need fo 9x500fsb!!!??? Does the vid value also affect the VTT need too? Thanks!
I wish I had a golden CPU, my X3370, albeit a quad, struggles to stay stable at 4 GHz
Hopefully I can get this sorted after my build is done and get to at least 4.2.
Some n00b questions:
What is VID?
What is VTT and what does it directly translate to in BIOS?
I'm sure it will take a lot more Q and A before I have a properly OCed processor.
Oh, jeez... I'm pretty sure my VID is 1.30
thats right,i knew something didnt sound right when i wrote that.
thanks xzulu.:)
