How do you actually fully disable sideport?

Sorry but 290Ht and 1800Mhz max on 890FX is not good enough... ASrock needs to improve as it's almost the same price range as Asus' pro board. Maybe the reviewer needs some Chew* tips :p
880g 1.70 bios... 300 htt works now but running my 1600's at exactly 1600 (300*5.33) doesn't boot. 301*5.33 htt does boot, though 295-299 doesn't. and so 240*6.67=1600 doesn't boot either. (i think this may have been the case from the first bios but i didn't relate it to memory clocks, i was only thinking htt ref clock then). anyway i'm kinda forced to run 1333C6 it seems.
I haven't tried flashing to 1.7 yet, but I do have till Thursday off, so I will try and give it a go and let you know whats up with the ram...Quote:

grrrr. cant seem to get past 260 on the bus speed with this board.
I was thinking of getting the 890GX Extreme3, has anyone tried it with the 2.4 BIOS? I'd like to know max bus speed with that BIOS.
I did 328 here max stable for Wprime1024; X264HD and Cinebench... rams here cap out around 1880n though Rob has done over 1900ish...
