Is there any real reason to update boinc to newest version? I mean do they increase performance regularly or is it ok as long as the older versions work?
I updated to the beta and had problems with that...I went back to an earlier version and it seems like it's taking longer to complete projects. Although that could be just my imagination. Also my point average is dropping, but that could be due to catching up or some inactivity over the past couple days.
Depends on the version. Some improve performance, some don't. That's why we keep posting bench comparisons, in order to figure out which version currently is the fastest.Quote:
