i bought a 18-20L dewar this saturday and a Littledevil SS :D , from a friend.
So now i have 35L of LN2, hope my gpu tube from duniek is here soon,
ill fill the 35L this wednesday, and hope to be doing 3D with GPU + CPU on LN2 end of next week
Still hoping to sell my Classified and get a P6T6 before that, but o well.

I have for a while now been using XP32 for my 2D CPU benching, it is noticeably faster for sure. :)
Working on some GTS 250 action.... still have a lot of testing to do with those... Have two different cards to test, going to get better crossfire results than I have now hopefully soon... ;)
So far the MSI TwinFrozer 1GB GTS 250 has been able to run about 20mhz faster on the core than the Palit 1GB card that I have. :yepp:

Honda my chiller is the -8oC we have outside :D I just push my bench station out and let the weather do it's part. The temps on the cards with 1.40vgpu is around 10oC on idle.

Tried under air and my singlestage ( -40 / -45 ) , but that didnt really help either.
I dont really want to try another classified to find out it has a the coldboot problem again, but a mobo with really low bclock isnt what i want either :/

Jor3lBR, you posted a very nice run on your REX, what batch is your CPU? Is it Q820, or Q822? How high did you set Vcore in BIOS?
Maxmem won't help for PIFast, priority will. :yepp:
Try using 2 cores Jor for Pifast, don't think it scales better with more than 2 (not been into core 2 quad lately) and tighten them ram timings... also if it crashes first time, rerun it , it might pass then :

Today we saw some nice scores by the team:
At first, TheGoat Eater made a session with 80 pounds of DICE and his new W3570 on P6T6 WS. He used a MSI GTX 275 for the 3D benchmarks.
He managed to reach 353k in AM3, 37k in 05 and 67k in 03. He ran some PI too, and scored 7.420s in 1M and 15.9s in PIFast. The processor could be clocked up to 5.5GHz for a CPU-Z suicide validation. Look here for more.
Then our S775 quad core expert Jor3lBR is just starting to own another category, scoring 4min18s in WPrime 1024M with a Q9550, thus getting the category record. Congrats! :up:
Linuxfan did also run some benchmarks yesterday, his benchmark of choice was PCMark 05. He reached 22k with a Core i7 920 at 4.3GHz and 17k with a E8400 at 4.5GHz.
Finally, I was bored yesterday, so I ran 01 on my laptop, but I didn't get to 15k, which was really bugging me to be honest. :D
So I tried again today and after about 3h I had the final result on my screen, reaching 15030 points. That score won't give any new points since I was already the recordholder of that category, but it was fun nontheless.
P6T thread is dead, the P6T WS Pro atleast. i think the pci-e needs to be vmodded b4 i can do some serious bclocking.
I'm thinking about purchasing a X58A-UD7 , they seem nice, and alot seem to get above 230 bclock on air, because the pci-e is factory vmodded.
So im just returning this one :)

Well, all i dont want to end up with is a coldbooting motherboard, and a classified in combination with a 950 / W3540 is just that ;) , or well, most people i know have issues with that combination. it just needs to boot! :P

Just wish that i7 I tested yesterday for pcmark05 clocked better than 4.3ghz without HT on water@ room temps... I'm thinking that P6T Deluxe V2 mobo was acting up. :(

Well, I managed to verify and top my previous wprime score and break 8 seconds which has earnt me a nice 3rd place. I've been out on festive occasions so will be stuttering my progress, but I plan to get a touch higher max clocks as I had a screenie saved at 5025, and a sub 9.5 second Spi run, but my raid0 array got corrupted shortly afterwards so it was a case of reinstall, couldn't even repair it or keep the files :(
I don't really go through that much hardware, but I have access to an E6600 and E8500 (the latter I know will do 620FSB+). I guess I won't be able to break any records without LN2 on those chips though.

I strongly recommend getting a cheap IDE drive off ebay for benching purpose, when I began overclocking my 680i I had to repair or install OSs almost every day. A dedicated benching HDD saves you from a lot of hassle and will not harm your scores in any benchmark besides PCMarks of course.Quote:

Meh, all i've been getting with my new X58A-UD7 is 'Verifying DMI pool data' , and its stuck on that. seriously no idea why. reinstalling xp as we speak, but it should just boot normally, so im affraid its partially dead, tried almost everything now :S

With a 5970+5870 the 5870 the 5870's fan would not go above 20% though it was set it CCC... :shrug:

For any of you on the team who have the ATI 5000 series cards... Get the new 9.12 driver and run 3dmark Vantage again! :)
it was on h2o, and vcore was i think 1.55 but it was a quick max validation test and believe me it BARELY made it, first time validation was borked
i used my 3520 settings because i didn't had much time yesterday
but i'm starting over and working my way up, right now i'm benching 3DMVA @ 4106 @1.25vc
if it's not a good cold chip at least it looks to be a good 24/7 chip :D
Didnt really had much time to fiddle with everything yet, so far i had 220 bclock on air, have to work tomorrow, but hopefully in the upcoming days i can put my cpu on the singlestage,
and get some bclock going!

I took care of the first place by the way, you didn't notice he used WPrime v1.63 for his submission, did you? ;)
Edit 1: Just checked more of his WPrime scores, he used v1.63 for almost all of his submissions, but I don't feel like reporting them all now... -.-
