wow, that seems to be a very very good choice. I wait for thoses two kits already: http://www.mediafrost.de/produkte_von_CellShock.html for sure & http://www.memoryc.com/computermemor...inumebkit.html or maybe those(in RMA actually) will be replaced by: http://www.memoryc.com/computermemor...iesrammod.html
Damn Evo!! on my Gigabyte X38T-DQ6 I got thid with the actual ram's ... http://pix.nofrag.com/0/d/f/85f62179...12923f46dt.jpg
Sick of it :p:
:) thx Camouflage, i'll do remenber this info . goodnite fella
:D Here we go - now 8.5 x 570:

:( I feel sad to hear this mate - but I guess it's the chip. If You didn't push more than 1.7 Vnb on air the chances are hi that the board is still alive...
Did You try different RAMs on the other board, too?
I'd be a bad suprise if Your RMA'd chip arrives and refuses to work caused by a bad RAM stick..........;)
hi
tried with other memories the ocz gold that i used before buying the gskill hz and no go, the cpu blue led starts blinking and simply dont boot.
confirmation from the store has arrive, cpu is ok so the problem is the board has died with less then a month of use :shakes:
they will try a hotflash but the best chance is to have a new one, only problem is the waiting time now at least one week and depends if they have in stock :(
lets wait and see....
;) Hm, now You're one step further - You know where the problem is located.....
What was max. voltage You gave to the board? Maybe it's a BIOS recover error - sometimes it happens after a failed OC try that the recover function refuses to work and the BIOS hangs. Had the same problem with a different ASUS board - I can't remember, but I think it was a 975 chipset.
Go for RMA & You'll get a new one........................
hy
the more strange is that i was not making tests, it simply died after a normal reboot daily use.
already send to the store and if they have it in stock i´ll get a new one next week, just in time for the new cards arrive @ 2x4870 :)
new tests will start after that and lets see if with a new board the HZ finally gets stable at 1T like yours.
thanks
edit: btw ppl with the board start checking this thread using a evo "HD4850 3x CrossfireX First tried" - http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=191870
DANG! My OCZ sticks turned out not being willing to run in dual channel after replacing first QX9770 with a better one, so I have switched to some Corsair Dominator XMS3-1800 sticks refered to as CM3X2G1800C8D (2*2048). Was no way the board would fire up after new CPU was in place??? Anyone else experienced this on the P5E64 WS board?
Change turned out nice as I am now running (24/7) 4.620 MHz with 440 FSB (10.5 multi) and sticks at 880 MHz at 8-7-7-24 @ 1.96V. Will start to look for higher and tighter now...

Hi Rob, I suppose those sticks are the same as mine. Please share settings.
I had to back down to 9x445 to be Prime95 Blend stable (at least 18 h) with the following settings:

The performance level (tRD) is 7 and it is a no go to lower to 6. I have a hard time getting CPU/RAM higher with stability. I have tried 9x456, 2N, vcore 1.5 (LLC Performance), NB 1.55 but it's not stable and often my Intel Matrix RAID 1 will turn into "verify" mode which results in extreme instability. I have my 2 Samsung 1TB in a RAID 0+1 setup. I suppose I may OC more without using software RAID. A strange thing is I have used CPU GTL og 0,63 for a long time (based on systematic tweaking) but suddenly 0,67 turns out to be more stable (maybe because when OC too aggressive I "loose" my RAID 1 partition ("verify") which mess up tests untill the RAID array is "normal" again.
Does anybody have suggestions how to push it further and/or tighten timings? I have not yet reached to the point of systematically tighten timings since I had so much trouble getting a stable "base" OC. My max temps have not yet exceeded 60 full load (RealTemp 2.6).
I will try to up the memory voltage and tighten the REF Cycle time as a start.
I'm about to get a headache here in the Banana Republic... After 24 hours of testing and system found stabile, I am suddenly getting BSOD's all over the place. I even managed to play BF2 for 6 hours with new RAM at 1760 (8-7-7-20) and with CLK Skew set to 50 Advanced settings and today it is a no go... Board won’t even boot at 8-8-7-24 so I have had to back down to 8-8-8-24 (which is standard for this RAM at 1.8V).
CLK Skew that was set to 50 advanced is again set to AUTO
CPU PLL Voltage is set to 1.66
FSB Termination Voltage set to 1.34
DRAM Voltage set to 1.9
The rest of the voltage settings are now set to AUTO.
Load-Line Calibration is still giving me BSOD’s no matter what when set to Performance, so set to Normal...
@Holmer, you can probably raise the CPU PLL Voltage to 1.7 for higher stability. RAM is based on Samsung (http://www.samsung.com/global/busine...m=M391B5673DZ1). This link for our RAM will probably help you out a little bit although I am not even close to achieve their results... (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=187853).
Here is what i manage to do with mine. I think cpu prevents me to bench higher
Bios 0115

CPUz at 600 FSB / 9.5 multi :
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=378757
I got BSOD at 605 fsb :(
1:1 memory is the best - if u seeking for max fsb.
thanks camou
so like it was said before it seems and confirms that 0115 is the best bios for max FSB, as for ram OC still donīt know after seeing all results in the thread wich one is better specially to get 1T stability.
btw one thing i didenīt tell before but maybe is just a coincidence, the mobo died less then one day after flashing to the non-oficial 0501  most certain a coincidence.
lets hope that the new one arriveīs next week, already tired of being on a laptop :shakes:
A bit OT, but.. is there any real-world benefit to 1T? I've not tested everything, but did try WinRAR and compiling code (which is as much as I can time), and saw absolutely no difference.
Not to mention I can't get 1T to work even with 1.95vDIMM :( (2T works @ 1.8vDIMM)
hy
1T is great for ram bandwitch and lantency, check and compare results with everest using 1T and 2T you will notice quiet a difference.
for games is also good because with more bandwitch the overall performence will be more "fluied" specialy with high-end cards or multi-gpu.
of course that 2T is more common and delivers a good performence to but if you can get 1T dont think twice!
So, I'm contemplating upgrading my Maximus Extreme to either this board or the P5E3 PREMIUM/WIFI-AP @n. Just looking for the best stability and non-pita board. Any thoughts/comments/suggestions?

Here I had to push more vcore: 1.43 in the bios :( but I 'm not pissed off :p: )
With 543 fsb, I can't get a good clock2clock performing setup. My very best at this day would be 531x8 ram:@
I have it hard without good memory sticks, plus me isn't too skilled with ratio's and timings, so here I'm stuck atm...
