Full set of bios screens here http://i4memory.com/showpost.php?p=65409&postcount=1 but yes has settings for TRFC but similar to P5B DX 20, 25, 30, 35, 42. Asus bios is nice enough to list them all on right side panel http://i4memory.com/reviewimages/mot..._bios_021.html :)

Great results Misko. :) I gotta get a 9.xx if I can find time...
Hehe, it looks like you'll have it once you switch to 4 MB.
What'd be really sick I bet is 8x 4:5 4-4-4 on P35, that chipset has the potential of crushing every score in this thread easy.
hahaha, please don't even joke about going 570FSB on the 1066 strap. you cats are already killing it at only 550~560FSB. congrats on all the incredible work but your making it very discouraging for the rest of us...my QuadGT just can't get up that high to compete with you. again, awesome work with the 965 times
If you wanna get discouraged why not try my setup for a day. I'm lucky to even do a 32M at 100MHz less than that. :( Maybe its my CPU, maybe its my board, I just have horrible FSB luck...
...but my ram makes up for it. ;)
Abit did act the same way in our case, but DFI goes ~30mhz higher on FSB then Abit!!! Also Abit is at same clock little faster then DFI, I suppose it has tighter latencies on NB so it is a little bit faster clock per clock but DFI is better for overclockig. For us if CPU is wall free, we can put 575MHZ on 1066 strap for Spi 32M, and 580MHZ strap 1066 for 1M, suicide shot is at ~590MHZ
I'd like to join...

3oh6, that is a good improvement. If only I had better cooling. 15.xx is difficult for me thus far. I will see if I can do better but...
I do have an advanced weapon though, for about a week now, but still in the box.
Great sub-timings btw.
uh-oh...which motherboard do you have sitting there begging to be thrashed? :D
and about the sub-timings...i am quite impressed that this board runs as tight with 2x1GB as it does 4x1GB. especially considering the Ballistix don't run 4-4-4-x that well...they don't run high frequency anyway, but apparently like tight subs ;)

(P5K-E)
Maybe u should try to cool down abit NB, we put DI on NB and only then with 1.9V for vMCH 550fsb was possible. Also I did exact comparation between DFI and Abit. At 3.6ghz Abit is faster about 4-5sec!!! First time I did comparation my calculation were wrong and I thought that DFI is similar like Abit but no, Abit is much more faster. So u need 5mhz on fsb less to catch DFI.
Hahaha, it begins. 4:5 with serious FSB is too much for any other chipset when it comes down to it. Finally Intel chipsets are refined and clocking the way they're supposed to be. Which is why I'm holding off on participating further in this thread till I get my hands on one. :D
Nice clocking coop, that looks like a lot of fun.
haha...470FSB w/4:5, that isn't fair ;)
thats it...i am done with 965 for this challenge too. time to grab a P35 and be done with it. i still have one more goal to reach on 965 though, 9m XX.XXX @ 5000MHz or less.
@Misko...1.9v and dry ice it is. thankx for all the help in this quest, much appreciated help from team Serbia
Heh, don't make it sound like that...he's only 1 MHz ahead of what I had on 965. In fact maybe when I get home tonight I might decide to defend 965's honor in the 15.xx category just for that. :p: ;)
IMHO, 410x12 2:3 should be plenty for 9.xx.
you unlock the multi on my E6600 and we will talk. that and don't forget we all don't find 600MHz+ 4-4-4 memory that doesn't require the voltage to kill them at that frequency/timings ;)
it is a different game for us mortals with E6600s and only "decent" memory, not freak sticks, and i have had my share of memory come through my setups but never been lucky enough to get 600MHz 4-4-4 with less than 2.6v which kills memory over time.
Heh, I guess I tend to take the multipliers for granted. :p:
"Nice clocking coop, that looks like a lot of fun." Thanks it was. It took a few times.
"thats it...i am done with 965 for this challenge too" that was done with my (watercooled) QuadGT. I have not opened the p5k-e yet. I got it as it was on sale.

wow, 571FSB on 4:5 is about as impressive a thing as i have seen on the QuadGT. you have one crazy board right there, and just water cooling. my waterpump died last week but i think i am going to vMCH mod the board right now to see what i can get out of mine on air...i am not expecting your results but any little bit more would be nice. congrats and very very nice frequency
A quadgt?? :eek2: No way, that's awesome!
3oh6,
Gautam, thanks. Only 471 fsb though. I have a Swiftech NB cooler and did do some of the vmods. Vmch mod and colder NB really helps on mine.

How far have you dived into the strap setting andre?
coop's 4:5 result on 965 is waay faster than all the P35 results...I wonder if can P35 be tweaked to match this?
i just received the board yesterday, cant explore much for now..
yes coops 4:5 is waay faster, maybe with more vmch i be able to use lower perf level. 1.7v isnt enough. i might be able to touch 3.3ghz but its veerry hard to sub 3.3ghz.... maybe my tweaks wasnt enough..

Yours isn't that bad either ;)
You have improved a lot over the last couple off weeks
I believe that there are not many mainboards like yours that works that well with the 4/5 memdivider.
My Commando really does not like the 4/5 memdivider (bios 0803)
Perhaps bios 1001 will improve that, but I doubt that.

blindfitter, welcome. I hope that is not with your water cooling. Nice run. However, for this we want the lowest speed in the time zone. If you look at the 11.xx section you can see peolpe are doing 11 min. with 400 to 650mhz lower than yours. I'm not singling you out as others who may want to post can benefit from this as well. The lower the speed for a given time zone is what we are after. Your system should be capable of some very good runs if you would like to give it a go. Thanks.
Heya coop,
Can DDR3 results be submitted? If so, I have some fast 12:xx and 11:xx candidates here - almost beat Gautam by 100MHz in 11:xx, but I could not find a way to shave off 3 secs :( I'm also working on sqeezing P5KD a bit harder and will submit something on Monday.
Awesome results there Gautam and coop!

First off all I'am still using bios 0803 :
Which memdivider do you use?
And what is your mem voltage?
Memdivider 2/3 is absoluut the best for this board.
Memdivider 4/5 does not work propperly, but most P965 board have that problem.
But here are my settings from the bios, I hope it will help you.

Very very good run bro. Definitely the best I've seen on 7x 1:1.
Great;)
What is the max fsb for Abit?
Thanks .....
Gautam, THis run was using 5:6 divider not 1:1.... @ 1:1 I think my best was 13m08s, a couple of ticks slower than the 965-s..... This new divider is awesome cos its easy to run, I cant run the 4:5 divider on this board past 470fsb.....
Over@locker, highest I ran 32m is around 540fsb... my cpu has fsb wall at around 552fsb so I didnt really try to much after running 540fsb.... I think its my cpu thats limiting and not the board.... This boaord is pretty fast though cos I never had to use the PL on memset...
whoops
congrats on the sub 13m - sub 3600MHz luihed!
and thanks for the info on the IP35. after the death of my QuadGT i am up in the air of whether or not to buy another QuadGT to replace it and continue on my fight for sub 10m - sub 5GHz with the E6600 (AKA 555x9)...or if i should switch to the DFI 965-S...or if one of the new P35s is the right choice such as the IP35.
your comments on the 514x7 1:1 really have me thinking this IP35 isn't that far behind the 965-s and the QuadGT. my best on the QuadGT 514x7 1:1 is 13m 03.xxx so likely just a couple ticks faster than the 965-s which in turn is just a couple ticks faster than this IP35. the big advantage for the IP35 is the memory clocking ability and the FSB over the QuadGT...the 965-S is still a tough choice to turn down for my purpose. i should just buy all three and have a showdown but i have bought faaaaaar too many motherboards already this year :)
Thanks er and 3oh6....
I was surprised myself on how close this board was at 1:1 to the 965-s....my best with the 965-s was 13.06 with 4-4-3-4, but my normal time is 13.09 (4-4-4-4) at 514.3fsb (3600), with this board I was hitting 13.11 (4-4-4-4) but at only 3598mhz cos setfsb will never work on this board.....
Instead of buying 3 boards, just buy this and get 2 more sets of rams:D People say that at 500fsb+ this board is at 1333strap, thats bullsh!!t cos only 1066strap can run this fast.... Also like I said before, I never had to play with the performance level in memset cos its always at the lowest level possible:) .....
Funny thing is that run I did was just a test to see where this board is at lol.... You guys will do some damage with this board, I think in the right hands and using 4:5 divider 12.3x is possible......
Congrats luihed on your 12.xx.

@Gautam, thanks 4 the encouragement. It is my QuadGT. I will give it a go now and then but I am out of ideas.
Okay, have you ever tried a maxmem below 500? I think your page file is too large as well. I set 48-96. I like using large copy waza sizes (>5GB). Copy to the benching partition and then from it instead of just once as well.
This is gonna be close.... Just did 9m56s @ 5040mhz, Im gonna try 9.xx @ less than 5ghz....my stupid board is acting up again though :(...
I see your LN2 session is going well. :p:
i lil better now... yesterday it was a nightmare and I didnt get to do anything.... but it looks like Im topping out at around 5100mhz.....
This board is acting up big time even today.... everytime I have a bad setting I have to start from low clocks ( below 400fsb) and make my way up... FFS, im doing 16m runs ar 3800mhz righ now at -120c lol....
I've gotten used to working up. Though I usually start around 4800-5000. You might be using too much or too little vcore.

Im getting used to it... the bios in this board gets screwy as in thiers corruption in the bios screen, and I cant get rid of it at times..... anyways I couldnt get another run to finish so I guess this is what I got.... Im happy with the time its just frustrating sometimes when you have a promising start and then nothing happens... this run was done in the first hour, didnt finish another run after at both higher and lower speed :(
9.xx entry...
http://www3.telus.net/luis99/5040.JPG
sounds exactly like my last 32M session with the QuadGT and dry ice...best run in the first 30 mins of a 5 hour session.
remember though, you are one of a very select few, as in a handful that is missing fingers, with a sub 10min E6600...big congrats on that
Thanks man... Yeah its been like this for me the last couple of times, get your best run early on and then nothing for the next few hours lol.... The thing is at this PP it puts me at 5006mhz, I had so much room to tighten up my timings and also the run above wasnt even at realtime priority.... Under 5gs was so doable and I was right there, thats what made it frustrating.... I didnt even get a decent 1M run or even a decent screenie lol.... But #12 overall and #2 E6600 at HWbot is very alright for me:D not to mention #1 9.xx in the toughest and the best low clock challenged in the world hehe..:)
If it wasnt for this thread I wouldnt have put so much time to learn spi32m, I still suck compare to you guys but Ive learned so much:)
You did a great job bro. I haven't even bothered to try 32M yet on LN2. Props to you for jumping straight into it.
Thanks bro... I was practising on this run here to keep the temp in a 5c range which was alot harder than I thought... I totally give kingpin a whole new kind of respect cos he does it with 3 pots ......
My entry was abysmal, 16m 57sec @3150Mhz. I'm guessing due to RAM latency and the 2Mb cache on my E6300. Anyway, thought i'd post it anyway.
Specs are in the signature, copied for anyone with sigs off:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (3.15Ghz, 1.36v) | Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B + Arctic Cooling AF12025
2x1Gb GeiL PC6400 5-5-5-18 2.1v
Gigabyte 965P-DS3 F11 BIOS
2x 250Gb SATA2 16Mb Cache
NEC ND3550A DVDRW
ATI X1600XT 256Mb
Interestingly my temps when loading both cores hit 65'C. Should i make a thread on this?
Anyway, screenie is below.
