and hallo post #1000, what a big thread...
2 stepping questions: KAB1E 0625FPMW/MPMW - any good?
And is CAA2C 0442GPMW a nice clawhammer stepping (FX55)?
Very nice job - congrats guys
0625FPMW/MPMW don't know... never tested... but i think MPMW will suck. FPMW could be a good one.
and i had a 0442GPMW: Prime95 under water: 2871Mhz @ 1.568V * 49°C. And 3.3ghz superpi 1m under stock vapochill LS.
ada3500daa4bp
lbble 0516dpmw
z638014d50184
Will probably suck, no?
that could be good... wr stepping is 0520CPMW, also LBBLE coldbug not found with dice :D
just try
Some LBBLE's are decent, but not all.
B? You mean like "BBBWE"? Never seen any 939 chips with a B (maybe I'm missing something obvious, but...)
Btw, soon you're not the only one with a REAL AMD ES:D FX57 on the way... Apparently NOTHING is written on the IHS! Didn't look like it when I saw the picture at least.
Hehe, just noticed the LDBHE stepping
By the way, I found a LDBHE 3800+ X2 as well :p
I am very sad this is the only AMD thread on the first page .. I really hope AMD get their act together
hehe yes... sometime we will be locked in a lab at amd :D
a shop offered me a AM2 cpu (6400+ 3955mhz@1.64@water) for free. but then i have to buy a AM2 board, ram...... so I refused :D
Lol, accept it and send it to me :D :D
Anyway, me and Geoffrey are planning to give the AXP a shot again in January ;). More AMD :)
i got a
LBBLE 0516 ?PMW
lyin around here, it is lapped so i cant see the stepping :X but i remember it being a LBBLE 0516 sth with MPW oder PMW or mh.. if any1 wants it pm me; it did 2.8suicide, god long time ago lol
evt for eventually? :D
. Best are only AMD D234... (first K8 for motherboard manufacters). Photo what you was send is FX-57 normal, because ES is only written. You have FX-57 with no serials (i need it :D ¨). ES is AMD ENG SAMPLE or only AMD and V code. (phenoms on tests).
I was see B revision only opteron 244 ES. B revision is so rare.
A revision i have, and it is FX-53 Socket 940.
OT: I have many tualatins :D
@ massman
CAA2C for an Clawhammer isnt good enough...look at my nethands side, i tested one...
Today I got an 3500+ CBAEC 3500+ 0442 WPMW Newcastle --> new start to crack that damned wr...
I bought a CBAXC 0437 the other day. Looks like we have alot of duels:D
Btw, if you have time, can you do a little coldbug research on some cpus? I want to check something... Find the cb at 6-8 temps, like you did with the 170;) Just trying to figure out if it's a way to calculate the optimal core temp.
It's not a normal FX57. CPUZ screen attached. Note that it's 1.41, so it should work properly;) Also, 800mhz HTT, for some reason. Hope it has NO coldbug:D
Yeah, when you say it, I've seen B revision, but only 2/8-way Opterons for s940. It also exist E-revisions of those.
To sum it up, I've seen A,B,C,E,K,L,N,R,Y-revisions (s939). The R-chip is my 3700+ newcastle, the only one I've seen with that revision. I also THINK that the old sledgehammers had S-revision, but I'm not sure.
lol, FX-24 :D
haha to bad bruce, check out my strange scores:
3700+ => http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=131721
3200+ => http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=131752
3700+ => http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=96051 :D
@ Bruce
Sledgehammer have S-Revision ;)
Yesterday I got the 3500+ Clawhammer CAA2C 0507 BPMW and an old 3800+ Newcastle :D
the 4800+ was shown first as 3200+ ;) renamed at subzero temps :D and a few days later died.
The 3700+ 0602 gpmw cpu was in my hands first and after some hours under single stage it changed the name in giannis pc. Then it was born as the 5300+ :D
I've never seen a xCBxE venice, so I doubt it's a disabled toledo. I never saw a chip with both disabled core AND disabled cache. What a waste lol:D
These are all strange CPUs lol. FX39 wth? Unlocked or?;)
I think I can explain my FX24, btw. The normal FX57's sometimes showed up as FX25, and those chips had htt @ 1000 as default. My chip has only 800, so it's an FX24. A bit like the 3500+/3400+'s.
My 3200+ SD is a bit funny as well, don't you think?:)
*24h till dice action*
I'll take a photo of it during the dice session tomorrow;)
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD...700AWBOX).html
Here is a reference, as you can see, R-revision.
Google for YBBLE and you'll see a few venice e3's.
I don't have the FX57 ES yet, it was sent last week I think. From USA, so it'll take a few more days.:( Which means that I wont be able to test it properly until after Christmas. Need a new DFI Expert lol.
i see KAB2E, CCBWE, KAB3E, CABGE, KABCE (not in CPU-World). I did not seen any S or R or Y revision.
Allright, day 1 is over. ALOT of CRAP CPUs were tested, but a very nice 3500+ venice as well:D
G.I.H. is all I can say.:D
The cvf files are on the raptor in the garage, but the spi1m run froze after finish so a picture had to be taken. Here it is;) The validation will be posted tomorrow.

damned!!
Congratz :D
I tried to get this damned 3800+ Newcastle wr but its very hard to get it...18 mhz are left :D
lost 3500+ wr , won overall prime wr!!!
3751Mhz @ 1.616V * -5°C
3660Mhz @ 1.520V * -8°C
haha just tried my 4000+ rocket on a other board + chiller: watch that: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=275892 (vcore was 1.584v!!) :)
holy crap, this cpu is awesome :toast:

The GODDAMN 3500+ validation @ 3771 mhz was corrupt:( But I'll see if I have the time to try it later today;) Should be possible to get a validation at that speed... with a little more voltage perhaps:D
That CABXE 0602 3200+ was a San Diego btw...... so no venice wr on that one. Doubt it was good enough anyway, but it could run spi @ 3450 or 3500, dont remember.
Edit: Nice scores, gianni!
hehe mr wr hunter :D
was that the old 3700+? any validations of that 3200+?
and this X.I.H. looks like a running gag :D
Same old 3700+. With 0.04v more, and about same temps I guess. With lapped pot this time;) The problem with this chip is that it gets very much hotter from 1.8v to 1.9v. @ 1.85v it's about -30, but -22 @ 1.9v. I hope I can get even closer someday, but I need a little bit better cooling. If I have the cash, I'll buy a nice phase change unit later this month:D
I learned something about F7. If a file has been stored with the same freq, you're unable to make a new validation at the same clockspeed unless you move the old cpuz file to a different folder, or rename it. I have a feeling some of the other validations "blocked" the SD validations. But I didn't try too hard because it was an SD. Got 3500mhz out of it, but it coldbugged @ -45c @ 1.9v:p: 3550 - freeeeeeze:D
X.I.H. will go on forever:yepp:
crazy results, wr hunter :D
that 3700+ could be dangerous to mine, if this chip work so good with deep temps... no validation over 3.8ghz?
hehe ok :D
next weekend will my 4000+ meat dice... hallo 4ghz :)
That is unbelievable, bruce. Congratz ;)
You are a dual core junkie...
I have tested the new DFI Venus board and here is a first result of maximum HTT with an china cracker 3400+ Venice E6 0613 AAC :D
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=276587
That Venus board is great.....
Tried my 3800+ venice, quite nice chip. http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=276624
And the 3500+ venice WR. http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=276627 3669.91mhz:D
Unfortunately, the poor thing died @ 1.94v:( :shakes:
Congratz ;) May he rest in peace...
@ Turrican
Much more otions for voltage:
2.0 v @ chip for example or 4.1 v @ dimms ;)
Can boot with 550 mhz htt than the normal 456 mhz @ all dfi.
Today I got an 4000+ 0626FPMW....gianni, I will hunt you ;)
By the way: also got an X2 4200+ Manchester and an 3500+ Venice E3.
tell me the last line....
@ gianni
Looks like F60726 on the end, the other numbers I cant see...this was an ebay auction with a small picture
hey guys check that only 24 of 54 left and bruce/stunned/me will own all s939 wrs :D
http://www.ripping.org/database.php?socketidwr=939
turrican, you have to crack a wr or "you are dismissed" :D
may be with a sempron, hehe :p:
Haha nice! Note that there is a Windsor there as well (please remove the damn thing from the 939 list), and I own a 3500+ sempron (same as 3400+ but with the incredible amount of 256kb cache!!!).
I have what I hope is a decent X2 4600+ manchester in the mail at home, but I need some cash to pay for customs:D
The 3200+ winch record could be hard. I have a chip, but not sure it's good enough. 3500+ newcastle/clawhammer - I don't have either of those. I THINK a newcastle is in the US somewhere, but I wont get it for a little while at least. 3800+ venice is a DAMN hard one. Hope the new CBBLE 0512 is great. The 0449SPAW sucked bigtime, horrible coldbug...
3800+ newcastle doesn't look too hard, but I don't even own a chip atm:p: 4000+ clawie, no idea how great that score is. I'll try my CAAZC 0442GPMW next time I play with dice;)
FX53/55 claw... damn hard to get I think. My chips aren't good enough:( FX55 SD is mine as soon as I try it on LN2:D That chip is as good as my 3700+, and with an unlocked multi it'll be alot of fun:D fsb360@dice/low temps. I'm pretty sure one of us have an FX57 that can beat before. I saw 4ghz on dice on a lousy pot, but got no valid...
X2 3600+ manchester is mine as soon as the chip arrives;) X2 3800+ manchester... don't have one yet. I expect to get a very nice Toledo soon, maybe I can crack that one;) X2 4200+ manchester, don't have one atm... That Toledo WR is too hard for my ACBWE I think:shakes: X2 4600+ manchester, hopefully my new chip is good enough. Just need a little bit of cash so I can pick it up at the post office (damn taxes...) Opty 144,146,148 and 154 will be hard. My 144's didn't like that high fsb, maybe I can get the 148wr, but not sure until I get it and test it. Opty 154 will be DAMN hard!
I think I actually have one of each sempron that's not my own WR yet. I never make semprons pri1;) But next session, maybe. I haven't got so many chips to test now...
3500+ clawhammer WR will be mine, I have a good one coming in :)
3800+ Venice will be mine (with cascade or ln2) ;) fsb 375mhz on really low temps!! with my fx-57 i think i couldn't crack the wr of before...
will retest the following cpu's under dice: 3200+ (wr chip), 3400+ (wr chip), 4000+ (wr chip) :D and maybe once again the FX-57 but these temps are too much for dice... my idea: order ln2 for next weekend. but the minimum order is 50L and thats really too much for two amd chips.... :(
next year i have to travel to germany to a oc-session with (hopefully) a quad-stage-cascade :D
@ gianni
where do you want do got to that session ?
@ massman
I also have one 3500+ clawhammer here without heat spreader but that 3.5 ghz are very hard.
@ bruce
yesterday I got my 5. FX-53, will try to go over 3.4 Ghz....
My first FX-53 was an AAABC 0409 UPMW but at that time I didn´t have the single stage and I didn´t know about overclocking.
Stunned_guy, what does the chip do on air cooling? The chip I have incoming does this on aircooling using 1,55v and is most likely limited by the motherboard.
http://valid.x86-secret.com/cache/65506.png
CBBHD stepping by the way ;)
in a few days mit opti 148 arrives. hope it will be a good one :D
@ massman
i didn´t test with air cooling, but under single stage i got more than 3.1 ghz with default vcore....
my step is CAA2C 0507 BPMW.
by the way: you mean an 3500+ winchester like on the pic but i spoke about an clawhammer.
I got it all wrong, pardon me :D:p
@bruce: my 3800+ is CABYE 0631APMW no early bird ;)
@stunned: that session of teurorist ;) 3h away from me.
Yeah i know about that session he invited me also ;) so we can meet us and bang the world :D
yes i've allready tested it with dice... but it have definitly much more than 300fsb... i'll retest it...
Which is the best stepping for 3000+ Venice?
0602 Apaw ;)
good luck for your dice session on friday gianni :toast:

the coldbug of that chip is even cooler than the others but damn, that thing is hotter than my fx-57 with high vcore!!!
after 9h dice benching my day was over. congratz to me :D
wow, super score gianni :D
Awesome :D
Oooo  a couple of new records for gianni ... Nice man ;)
Congrats;) I think your 3800+ has a little bit better bug than mine. The temp sensor is f*cked up on my chip (with low temps it's always stuck @ -28c or something...), but I think core temp was quite low when I found the bug. Lower than your temps, but then my bug was at about 300:p: Oh well, I bought another one of the same stepping, hope it's better;)
What kind of temps do you think I can give my Opty 154? B1... ~275-280fsb
thanks man.... i think the best temp will be somewhere at -10°C
btw: what a quote :D
Congratz gianni, well done bro ;)
The 3200+ Venice record was yours before you crack it again.
That 4000+ is amazing !!!!!! Never seen that....do you think under cascade it will be better ? Or could you only go around -10c bnecause of cold bug ?
that was definitly the end of the 4000+, thanks to mr. coldbug...
try superPI if CPU is stable ;)
That is the maximum with SuperPi....
Hmmm... Bwanasoft didn't like my screen photo of the Opty 185 WR, so he blocked it:p:
If he wants a war, he just got one;) bruce going DFI NFII Ultra-B style:D
hehe yes such images are not really popular, i have also higher wr's with 3200+ (3784mhz) and 3400+ (3555mhz) but i did enter the highest validation.
They're popular here, at least. I was told these pictures were nice because it's much harder to fake a photography than a normal screenshot. I hope Massman is on my side:D Otherwise i have to re-bench a couple of CPUs lol.
Well, at least they should put it in the rules, a screenshot is a screenshot.
