nice score ageom:up::clap:
anyone got a clue how how two 3470 & IGP will score with phenom 9550 ?
My mother is getting the jetway board with the sb700 & two 3470's, for a new computer her is a junky gateway right now.
now I just need to but the case (all ready been chosen mid tower telstar).... ps & ram then it's done. Could use some advice there board needs 24pin main & 8 pin esp 12V.
thanks msimax, no PhysX this time
Did you test PhysX in your setup?

I booted up the 9950 with my 9500 bios setup ATM, only changed HTT from 260 to 250 and NB multi to auto, in the 1st time boot, and up a little vcore in the 2nd time, for stability. Right now I'm stressing the CPU for about 1:30h.
I'm waiting for you...
plopped in my new 6400+ BE(scooped up from frys overstocked bin for $75!!!) into my biostar n750 and here are some initial results...
about 3.55+ghz and 1.52v+ i started running into cooling issues. core temps started to reach 55c. atm i am stable at 3.46ghz at 1.45v. here are some first scores on 3dmark06.
13.5k+ :yepp:

I am starting to get nervous. ;)
Wow very nice score... is this with the stock cooler on the 4850.....???
Got step-by-step on how to get AMD GPU Tool to work....???
Does the 4850 fanfix still work using GPU tool, or does GPU Tool now support 4850 fan duty cycle/fanspeed changing as well..??
I've already got the 8.8 Betas installed...!!
Sorry for all the Q's but I've been dying to try and OC my 4850's over the CCC 700 limit.... but nothing seemed to work without having to resort to a BIOS flash with RBE... which I didn't want to do....at least not yet..!!!
TIA
Ok Kaz ,, first i disconected the BLUE fan wire..This forces 100% fan all the time.. If you look close at the conector youll see that you can lift up the open section of the connector above the pin . use a needle or very small flat tip screwdriverr and lift whil gently pullin the blue wire out.
This is X1550 2pin but the 4pin connectors are unpinned the same....Unpin the (Blue wire only) on each card and your good to go.
The fans arnt that loud :D if your ocing the cards ""High fan is better than no fan ""unless you have water.:D

As for AMD GPU clock tool use the most recent version..9.8.
To set the clocks choose the GPU and then type in MHZ then hit ok..To se if it sticks (click Check clocks)..
BIG NOTE:
You will have to turn Overclocking off in CCC.. make shure its locked. No profiles will work with fan stock, thats why i depin the blue fan wire to force 100%fan..

Also from what i know Rivatuner isnt released for 4850/4870 yet...but on the bright side AMD released the new 4870x2 today..

i wait a week or two for prices to settle then im gonna oc one of those...Currently playing with new 9800GT for my M2n32 deluxe/9600BE ..the 2001 bios is Solid with TLB disable that actualy works:up:
i thought you were posting 4870x2 results dont play with my emotions:ROTF:
@ gotvoltage: is that on stock volts with that 4850? i cannot believe.
i now get 755/1100 stable at 1,2v core here..
The first thing i DO is change the Thermal Paste to MX-2!
stock BIOS with Stock Volts ...The Qimonda ram will actaully overheat @ 2400mhz but at 2300mhz its rock solid..rember when GT's could barely get 2200mhz. MX-2 on the GPU with the stock thermal pads for ram and then unpinning the blue fan wire..The MaxOc is with AIR because CCC and driver conflicts..It is also the same with water..Unless i Vmod it.
Unpinning the BLUE fan wire to run 100% made all the differance.
24/7 i set 750/2300....with stock cooler. fan 100%
CCC autotuned to max GPU and set my clocks the very first time using 8.8beta..like magic it clocked @ 700/1175..but no more. I then used AMDgpu clock tool 9.8,, set the clocks with Overclocking disabled in CCC. Took two days to figure 8.8beta and AMDgpuclocktool with the fan trick to get there. Only if CCC didnt limit the driver and Ocsettigs ,"" it woulda took five minutes.:yepp:""
BIGNOTE:
The CCC limit crap is the worst thing ive ever seen...makes me cringe. The cores can clock just like 4780's but CCC hold them back and i think 1.21volt vs 1.3v that 4870 uses:yepp: Some bioses ive seen had little more volts when they factory Oc cards ,but i dont know if they work on BBA referance ones. when Googled, you can find pencil mods 4850/4870 too if your brave:D
P.S Ramsinks with a Zalman cooler or even Thermalrightcooler will do the trick if the stock cooler dont cut it.
Hi thanks for the pics and info, I'm not really keen on the idea of having my fans at 100% full time though, they are really loud for me at anything over 65%, even 50% (which I'm currently at) is noticeable but bearable... and if GPU Tool doesn't support FDC modification then I'll have to stick with CCC profile for now...
I have a score update as well with new 8.8 beta drivers and at 2.9Ghz on the Phenom I scored higher than when I ran at 3.0Ghz...
3.0Ghz is still unstable for me, even with a new BIOS, though 2.9Ghz has been a bit more stable at lower voltage with the new BIOS..
