HeatKiller 3.0

Hey everybody I was wondering if I can install Bitspower Compretion fittings with 1/2" ID and 3/4" OD on the HeatKiller 3.0.

Will they give me better flow compared with the 1/4" ID to 3/8" OD I am using now?

I am changing the fittings based on looks but If I get better performance would be nice.

They won't fit without an angled fitting. If you put a 45 on one of them then it should work.

1/4" ID! Man, no one has used that in a while. Yes, this will certainly help.

I thought they would look better than the fat tubes but ....... Here I am :confused:

I just got my HK 3.0 from sidewinders so I snapped a few pics for you. My old sony digicam sucks but you can see what you need to see here. The 1/2 x 3/4 bitspower fitting will only fit (at least on mine) using two bitspower 45° fittings. When I tried to use just one 45, there just wasn't quite enough clearance to thread the fitting in.

Where did you get those BP compressions ? I don't see the BP logo on the rim :shrug:

The one on the inlet is one of the first ones performance pc's carried, before bitspower started laser etching the logo on the collar. The one on the right does have the bp logo on it you just can't see it since the fitting is turned and it came from Sidewinder. They are actual bitspower fittings and not any of the knock-off garbage, that is unless ppc's was selling fake louie stuff back then which wouldn't surprise me.

Thanks for your effort. Do you happen to know the largest fitting that would fit without using those 45° fittings ? I really don't like their look :(

That's really bad news !

The biggest fittings would be 3/8" ID 1/2" OD .

Is there UV reactive tubing to fit these fittings?

If the thread on the blocks, res and Rad are 1/4" how would fitting bigger tubes differ? Just Curious :shrug:

Primochill Pro LRT should have some in a few different colors. Just check out Primochill's site.

Blax, I had to do some experimenting when I finally got to mounting my HK tonight. The two 45's on there wouldn't allow me to run the tubing the way I liked. I ended up being able to use one 45 on the inlet, and a regular compression fitting on the outlet if I extended with two of the bitspower shining silver g-1/4 extenders. It just barely clears that way and looks just fine IMHO. Here are a couple pics so you can see. It was a good solution for me as I like to use only 1/2 x 3/4 tubing and BP compressions.

Feser has clear uv tubing 3/8" ID 1/2" OD.

They're idiots...that sounds is beyond annoying. I ran into it the same way about 10 days ago...not a pleasant experience :shakes:

Since I have the block mounted, I really can't take a pic from the side to show the elevation. The extenders are about 9mm each, so it puts the compression on the outlet about 18mm out from the block. I am pretty happy with it this way. Bitspower does also make an offset adapter but I have never seen one actually used to see how it works.
