Actually no, as far as my understanding goes.

SLI uses either x16 and x"ß" or x8 and x8. Also, it has a connector bridge and multiple rendering possibilities.

DXG can be called "fake" SLI. It uses the PICe lanes to work similairly to SLI, but with lower bandwith and is less vertisile. While untill further notice the performance drop may not be of any significance, the lack of bandwith may be an issue in some time, and as far as the rendering options go, i do not know how much support there is for it.
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

I cant seem to get through to H20Gun on ICQ to ask him, so i'll try DFI tech-support, which has always worked fine

Considering a lot of us are going to land a board January 30th to early Febraury, there will be a LOT of "reviews". Unfortunately i have my A/O Level mock exams, which pretty much decide whether i get a $50,000 scholarship, so i wont have too much time to thourougly get to it, especially as I'm determined on a DFI case mod
I was told that setting more than 3.3V Vdimm gives only 3.2V only. I haven't tested it myself, but I was in phone with my friend while he was testing the MB, he told me this issue.

maybe dfi made some sort of lock or theres a trick on the voltage settings. i dont think any mobo manf would want to release a mobo to the general public with 2.1vcore and 4vdimm. i think AMD would personaly contact them to ask not, cuz alot of people will end up frying there components.

i know Gigabyte usualy never allows more then 2.8vdimm cuz there techs dont want people frying memory sticks..

Off topic, but i thought id bring it up it incase no one else thought about this, even tho is a guess on my part.

    - if the memory does in fact run off the 3.3v line, them maybe someone could set 3.3v in the bios, and run there psu at like 2.8v or so, and see if it affects vdimm voltage. if not then, thats probly a good sign the voltage is ran off the 5v. im not smart a. tech but i thats what i would try.

    WoW that is nice!
But 4V on the Vdimm... People will fry their sticks and DFI will probobly get a lot of crap for it. But I guess it can be usefull for BH-5 sticks.

Anyway, this got to be a A3 board. DFI is making a board for OC's, and they know that they need to include the best things avalible.

These pictures look like H2OGun's that he took with his mobile phone. Am I right?

That's a shame! But then again it is understandable that certain parties do not want you to disclose information before they give you the green light

Yeah I'm waiting to see what the VDD will look like. Personally i do not have the need for 4V, as i use TCCD, but even BH5 would fry at those levels without heatsinks + fans.

The question then is: did you have "fun playing" or not?

Haven't heard from you for a while. I am sure you had quite a fun afternoon then. The board is really great, isn't it? Especially if you were coming straight from Asus A8N. A8N is really the worst SLI board of the few bunch for now. Hope a new BIOS can fix it, otherwise the history of A8V will repeat again. For some strange reasons, Asus has not been able to get A64 system right but they have always been the first one to get it out

Today, got some startup problem with the Vapochill LS, eddie is still working with it tonight! So I can't really play with it.....because I have to back home for my dinner!
But he have tested the SLI-DR before, around 412HTT maxed-out~
The BIOS for the 3 MBs are the same, you can still see the Silicon RAID option in the non-RAID version.
