I rather see you push abit to get more bios updates with performance enhancements than work on the manual, otherwise thanks for the good work.

This is my real pet hate, people purchase motherboards moan like hell about various things like manuals not correct, bios updates not regular etc, but all it takes is ones initiative to send an e-mail to them, chances are you will at least recieve the latest beta bios, the manual was fixed within a few days of e-mailing them, no one else seems to have bothered.

I'm not just on about Abit, but any motherboard manufacturer. Abit have been very quick in responding to e-mails with positive responses.

I've switched to the DFI P965-S Dark Infinity now, like I said it shoudnt be just left to one or two individuals to push for improved bios etc, if you own the board then use your initiative.

So if I use a single raptor on the Jmicron controller I do not need to set it to RAID and install those drivers (IDE), or do I? This is assuming I've flashed to the 1.1 bios.

sorry to resurect an oldie

tried to install winxp64 on this board - went fine until i installed intel chipse drivers and lost all usb functionality - conacted microsoft and they said they were aware of the problem but there was no support for that issue as of yet.

out of curiosity has anyone got vista x64 working on this board?
i have 4gb of memory and some software that makes use of 64 bit architecture and could do with trying a 64bit OS to see if its worth it.

just wondering has anyone had 64bit success with this board.

thanks folks.

Luckley this thread was used only 3 months ago

Well, on with my question. Every time i enter the BIOS, save it via F10 (without any changes) and reboot, it starts up, spins the VGA fan up to 100%, shuts down and reboots, with default settings (if anything was to be changed). Obviously i can't overclock because of that and what's even mroe annoying, the fans spin up to 100% (luckely there's a FanMate on that 92 mm zalman) and i can't turn off the LED show. And a barrage of other things.

The thing is, i updated to the latest BIOS about 2 weeks ago but did that via Windows... It always worked good for me before. But did i bork it this time? Please don't give me an answer in the 'you're lucky it still boots' fashion

So, basicly, would a reflash via a bootable CD/floppy do the trick?

Anyone? Would it be possible to flash it with an USB key too?
