I am using this all the time
    30 mins + 3dmark 06 a few times + gaming + WCG 24/7

Usually occt + 3dmark is enough to say that the system is stable

I think 30 mins is a little too short, probably doing the custom test of 1 hour of this would be enough though

    Talking Hallehuyah!

Multicore support was one of the things that made me choose s&m & ignore this as a part of my OC stability toolbox.

Got just the CPU to test this w/

it doesn't seem to do anything...

I have a Quad Core here, and it doesn't stress a single core, raise a single temp, or even touch the ram... it just doesn't seem to do anything more then report my speed and such.

and you pressed the RUN button???

edit: oh, and you do know that it does nothing for the first 1 minute and the last 4 minutes so it can take idle readings for the graphs?

you see the 2 core running at 100%.... yet i can test it with a Quad core.. will ask peoples...if they are not in hollidays.

    Hey guys

I found this thread about OCCT, so i thought i might as well keep you guys updated (I'm the guy behind OCCT)

I just reached 1.1.0.b09, which includes new features, like :
*New, more effective Error detection algorithm
    *Multi-CPU temperature support
    *Custom temperature and voltages support
    *Modified graphic design
    *Maximum CPU Temperature
    *Hyperthreading as Dual-core Option ( i.e. treat a P4 HT as if it was a Dual-Core Pentium 4 ==> launch 2 threads )

This version, once properly translated into foreign languages ( english is fine, french too, i miss the other translations) will soon be released as 1.0.3 ( i'm making a release mid-way, otherwise the delay between 2 versions would have been too long).

Just tell me how it works for you, and tell me if you find any new bugs !

    http://www.ocbase.com/OpenBeta/OCCTPT1.1.0.b09.zip

Kunaak : can you try again this new version, and tell me how many cores OCCT detects ( in system monitor, look for "Core number") ? i'm wondering what's happening, i've had good reports from previous Quad-core users.

Do your other progs stress and heat your cpu that much? Try also running 3dmark06 in a loop for 2-3 hours

    Thanks

OCCT is a bit more demanding and stresses the CPU a bit more, from testing results, as the other CPU stability program with error checking.

I'll never be on par with TAT on C2duos

And keep in mind that we are dealing with a random thing : sometimes an error will be generated, sometimes not. OCCT just stresses your CPU to make an error likely to happen... but the time it is detected and produced may vary. But you can be sure of one thing : you should always trust the program detecting an error. OCCT, SP2004, Prime95 can be trusted Others too, probably. That's up to your own judgement !

Need to commend Tetedeiench for his contribution and efforts for making OCCT world wide known programme in stability testing.
Few months ago, when he came to the biggest Croatian computer forum (didn`t even know how he found us, cause we aren`t well known) we were amazed by his effort to help us, by answering all the questions we had for him, about OCCT. We contributed by helping him in translation of the programme to our language.
Now we are very proud to have such a programme translated in our native language.

We wish that our cooperation continues in the future...
