My 955 board used the same PLL as the normal Bad axe clockgen ICS9541. The new one, the CV115 is what I use in my current 945G Intel board, all I can tell you is that my 945G can't clock for .

    I use this

    http://www13.plala.or.jp/setfsb/down...15a4_IG-80.zip

to overclock, setfsb. It probably won't work on the badaxe tho.

It does for me too. I have to turn mine off than use it. For some reason all my anti viruses pick it up as a trojan even though it isnt...

    I got the file from

I can confirm that the new retail Rev 304 I just received from Scan here in the UK has the IDT chip as well.

SysTool works for me on increasing the FSB beyond 30% on a D975xbx with the IDT clockgen.

Let us know how it goes. Even with watercooling I've been having probs with the temps (62degC @Vcore 1.488 fsb 380MHz, didn't push the volts beyond that). I think I need to fix the airflow over my radiator though, and probably reseat the water block.

[edit]temp measured with CoreTemp, Vcore is that reported in HWmonitor in BIOS

Please test the 1333FSB, if your board fails to post with 1333 enabled we need the numbers off the white sticker between the CPU and memory slots.

Post the numbers in this thread.

Nice find on the clockgen, lets see what this IDT can do.

    My sticker reads:
    BQBX62702258 AA D27094-304

I'm using the 1334 BIOS and have the OC DEBUG mod. I tried altering the fsb strap to 1333 in BIOS and it did nothing to the fsb, but the board still POSTed.

I have heard that 1334 BIOS doesn't work with 1333 strap.

I was using 1304 bios and couldn't use 1333 strap anyway tho.

Yes, I should really try reflashing to 1304 again. I had a load of problems on getting the board to POST at all initially that I described here. I initially flashed to 1304 after getting the board to reset, but that gave me no OC options at all (just the warning text, no modifications), and flashing to 1334 fixed that.

I have 2 D975XBX rev 305, one among it has a chip ICS and the other a IDT. The ICS goes up to 444 MHz to super pi 1M, the IDT holds about 432 MHz. I do not know if it is the chip which makes this difference.

Systool blocks to 399 MHz, after I must use Set FSB.

    >charleski: I have same the problems that you, I had the rev 305 flashed with the bios 1304 and I was obliged to flash to 1334 to have the option of overclocking. Some people say that the 1034 are worse than the 1334 but we can't flash rev 305 with bios 1034. It was similar with my old rev 304, obliged to flash the motherboard.

rev 305 went to distributers (if they place orders from intel) on 08/01/2006. Here are the changes:

    http://intel.pcnalert.com/content/eo...N106391-00.pdf

"Description of Change to the Customer:
    1. Updating BIOS to version 1304.
    2. Adding new SPI BIOS chip vendor option for ATMEL.
    3. Updating the lead-free label."

    AA = D27094-305
    Retail Box = BOXD975XBXLKR
