but my 2nd venice, 3000+ 0516 GPAW seems to so far in memtest like 300mhz 2.5-4-3-7 1T while my 3200+ 0518 APDW didn't like it... probably mem controller related again heh.... both san diego and venices seem to like BH-5/UTT BH-5 more than TCCD though

It wold be cool to see a black board with UV reactive screen printing on paths and stuff so it appears as though you're looking down on the world of TRON. I know this can be done more or less with UC reactive pen, but a manufactured board would be so nice. I guess I'm slightly off-topic.

Bit of a noob question but how is it that they are able to allow VDIMM settings of 2.5V all the way up to 4V without having to change a jumper like on the DFI boards?
Use in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of n00bs. Overclock within 24 hours of opening.
Do not read instructions before proceeding, do not use only as directed. May cause frustration, late nights and empty wallets.
If symptoms persist please consult your hardware professional.

But with the performance of Dothan and the OLD as dirt P4P/P4C's... AMD needs to find more CPU power

I dunno what's going on with that Southbridge rumor. If I remember correctly this was purely an issue with the SB400 and has been resolved in the SB450 several Weeks ago. Or is the SB450 having issues too now?

i wonder how ATI will manage the superheated mosfet when only 2.8vdimm is used. We all know that DFI will have a heat issue when less than 3.3vdimm is used.

This board doesn't have super heated anything. It's using a totally different architecture for every power supply compared to any board that I've seen. Efficiency is kept high to avoid thermal stress. Tony will tell you that the board doesn't get hot no matter how much voltage/current you pump through the memories.

There have been some questions regarding maximum currents that the board can deliver. The board as seen here is not configured to deliver full current capacity. It can and it does with different parts that fit on the same board. We saw no need to do so for engineering samples.

    Well engineered Vdimm power regulation
    VTT tweaks
    Multiple voltage options
totally seperate clocks for PCIE, sata etc etc

Respect to ATI for doing this and actually following through, i so want this board right now, i can then throw this gigabyte POS in the bin HURRAH
Sounds awesome if it doesnt have muhc getting heated up, those with water can run pretty silent, and i dont have to add any fans to direct air onto the motherboard.
Nice placement of the CPU socket too, means that people with Prommys and LS's will be able to have their case side on with the hose out of the way.
    Generally with this board!

You're the man Tony I'm sure plenty of us will thank you for your efforts! By the way, do you think it's safe to assume that boards from 3rd party manufacturers will incorporate all the features available on Grouper? It should be a reference board, right?..
