Nvidia temporarily stops testing autonomous vehicles after a fatal accident with a self-driving car from Uber last week. Uber makes use of the Nvidia computer platform in his self-driving cars.
Nvidia itself tested self-driving cars in the United States, Japan and Germany, Reuters writes on Tuesday. "Ultimately, autonomous driving will be safer than when people are behind the wheel," Nvidia said. "We temporarily suspend testing our cars on public roads." However, the company will continue to collect data all over the world via cars that are controlled by people.
