    Athlon XP-M 2400+ 35Watt

This my friends is the highest clocked XP there is at 35Watts that is OPGA.

    http://www.proshop-direkte.dk/ShowPr...x?prodid=25501

I've searched all over the web and the only places I've found that carry it are based in germany or another european country. Sadly, through all my translation, I found that none of them shipped to the US. But I really really want one as I'm sure these guys will overclock like mad! The stepping I desire is: AXMD2400FJQ4C

I am making this post in hopes that one of you who live in the available area could order one and then ship it to me. I could then paypal you the cash. So, please, let me know as I feel this is a great chip and one that I would love to own.

Um...no. It's not the same dude, those are 45watt, look at the stepping.

So, can no one help me? I figured you guys would be all over this chip.

No, guys, you don't seem to understand this. I did the research already, that is how I found out that this is the only mobile 35watt chip that is OPGA compatible. And basically all the 45watt ones are, and those are quite common. I want the 35w OPGA one.

The stepping once again is: AXMD2400FJQ4C

The FJQ4C and GJQ4C are both in 35w OPGA versions, but the GJQ4C also comes in microPGA, so I feel it's safer to go for the FJQ4C as with that it's garunteed OPGA. Also, from my search, the GJQ4C appears to be the rarer of the two.

Thanks for the tip saaya and I may just do that, but first I'd really like to know if anyone would be willing to buy it and ship it to me, then I could paypal them the cash or something. Or if there are any shops that are carrying it that ship to the U.S., all the ones I've found don't.

I can do it mate, if you want it that bad, but Newegg has XP-M 2600 now, I'd guess that's about equal to this.

I've ordered some RAM from ITbutikken where they also have it, so I could add it to that order the next few days.

Very interesting. Were you able to get your hands on one? Any links to peeps with these "special" chips and their results?

I haven't seen any results from them, but they should be better than the 45-watters, unless the shops have older steppings that aren't that good or something...

I appreciate it man, but I think I'm actually just going to wait for the mobile 2800+'s to arrive at newegg. Thanks a lot for the replies though.

Thanks for the pdf, clears things up for me. I'd still like to see how these lower-voltage chips actually perform. Hopefully one of you European peeps will buy one and be kind enough to share your experience...

If you give me the links to the sites I'll see what I can do.

PS: How do you see what models will fit in a desktop PC and what models will not?

Does the AXMD2400FJQ4C really work on ordinary desktop Socket A motherboards ?
refering to this site - http://www.myplc.com/sony/docs/amd_p...reference.html
    it says "Mobile Athlon XP-M - Low-Power 35W µPGA / OPGA"
and under that there are five CPUs two of the (2200+ & 2400+) are FJQ4C and The others are GJQ4C.. mabe its the GJQ4C that is uPGA, and the FJQ4C are OPGA or, both mabe works on uPGA & OPGA ?
