Weird Corrosion on EK FC 780 GTX Ti Block - Nickel

Anyone ever see something like this? Running distilled with PT Nuke and Feser Base.

Could well be algae, it's a perfect spot for growing. PT Nuke is far from 100%. Open it up and wipe it off. If it doesn't come off and is indeed corrosion you are covered by your warranty.

2x 480 and 2x 580 nickel blocks were enough for me. Im not saying EK blocks are bad, i just have bad experience in nickel versions of them. I have EK blocks in my system, just the copper versions.

Well, when you buy something and it turn out to be defective, then you buy fixed version of that same item and it too turns out defective like the first...3rd time wont come. If thats 2011 then be it.

I have the exact same thing happening to my EK 780/Titan SE block. I noticed a slight green/yellow tint to my coolant so pulled my loop apart to find this:

I was using XSPC EC6 clear coolant.

Couple more pics. Definitely looks like corrosion. Possible water getting by the o-ring and making contact with the screw but not sure.

Get some metal polish on there and clean off the tarnish and then you'll know for sure. I've had stuff that looked like nickel flake turn out to be algae and vice versa, you won't know for sure til you scrub it off and see the edges of the nickel and the bare copper. Brasso only takes a minute to clean it up.
