    Airco SS

    Hi

This time on mine workshop table I have little bit less boring unit - split HITACHI airconditioning .

I have this split with damaged stering unit - but compressor , fan and condenser are fine and that is only imporatant for me. Also case is in very good condition, any bends, very little rust, so I'll repaint it on black and SS will be build in orginal arico case .

Just ordinary split outside unit in non usual useage . Will use old LD's suction line (checked for leaks + new insulation).

    Work has just started:

Case is already washed and will be painted this week.

This unit will be for sale so if anybody is interested...

    Regards
    Peter

I built one like this a few years back so I could keep the all the noise out side the house and just have the evap indoors

the good thing with the large condenser and fan you can run on 410/402

good to see ya still building

Heh, yes, now You can see how it look in black .. plus RED fan

but no performance tests, seems like compressor isn't good, it can not start with 10 bara static charge. So I must change compressor.

Sadly I don't have time to continue that build now. So it is staying on shelf in workshop and waiting for his time :P.

Just guessing as costs vary, but normally I did AC builds for cost of the AC unit + $400. (with a normal lineset)
