Our review, courtesy EarthDog this time: http://www.overclockers.com/msi-n760...eo-card-review

OC results weren't too bad really. His card boosted to 1149 MHz (actual) at stock with an additional +79 MHz offset (1228 MHz actual boost) with very little voltage control available (+0.012 V) for 24/7 overclock. For benchmarking he got it up to 1293 MHz actual boost. That's really not bad considering the lack of extra voltage.

I'm working on an EVGA review now and my card starts at 1215 MHz actual boost stock and goes to 1318 MHz 24/7 overclocked. My ASUS card doesn't get quite that far though, the EVGA was a particularly strong clocker.

Not bad, not good, decent option IMO. But yea I waited for this card for my new build, not very keen on Haswell's high temperatures and being an aircooling user but guess it will mean lid-popping time.

On a 2nd note, comparing GTX 460 vs GTX 760 performance looks like I'm in for a quite upgrade with aprox 140% performance boost, wowza! Seeing how I'm a "low-res" enthusiast kinda and still using 1680x1050 and won't go past 1080p for many years to come, looks like a decent price/performance option as this card seems better at 1920x1080 or lower (ofc it's expected).

    so slower than gtx670
power use is about the same or higher for overclocked models
    less overclocking headroom
price will likely be much the same in au with gtx670 having recently dropped from ~$370 to $299

edit first au prices are $320-390 for gtx760 2g

I have been waiting for this card too for my Matx build as I need the short pcb. I thought gtx670 was underwhelming so I guess 760 will be too, though if I can get a decent clocker it should do the job. Mine will be water cooled too.

Does the blower fan SC have the short pcb from the ref 670?

How is 1300+ regarded as low overclocking?

I will be happy if mine will do 1300.

1300 just doesn't seem nuts when the stock card hits ~1100-1150 boost already. 1300 is only ~10-15% OC

Remember, the 770 & 760 are basically GK104 re-brands with Boost 2.0, so the clocks have to go up to show increased performance. The overall headroom on a GK104 GPU hasn't gone up, so the clockspeed increase over stock isn't going to have that "omg look how far these overclock!" vibe.

This is true but it probably looks worse because NVidia have got good clocks out of these as default, boost 2.0 would help heaps, its automatic overclocking, so that doesn't leave as much headroom for enthusiasts to extract. Its not a negative, modern gpus just run a lot better than older ones.

No is a GTX670 with alterations.

Does anyone know if these will be a Ti version? Or will that be pushed down the range to 750Ti? I had a 660Ti that would bench over 1400 on stock cooler and 1480 on water, will anything in 700 series equal this?

Actually it is more a GTX660 OEM ( 1152SP + 192bit bus ), but who keep the GTX670-680 memory bus of 256bits: so 1152SP and 256bits.. or a 670 with one SMX less.

@Aussie, well if we think to the fact the GTX 760 reference is just a little bit under the 670 performance and there's a little gap with the 770 ( faster of a 680 ), there's the place for a "TI" version,
but like Nvida seems saying this was the last of the series of GTX700 released for 2013, maybe not for now and they keep it in case they need it.

Its clear they can use a full 670 + faster clock for the TI version and it should not cost them too much on developpement. ( basically what i was think they will do ), even if right now this performance point is fill by the actual 680.

But do they really need it right now? And is a faster GTX760 TI will be competitive with the AMD cards who should be here on the end of the year ? So is it worst for them the investment on time ?
The performance difference between the 600 and 700 is so small anyway, starting to fill the hole with cards who exist allready is maybe not the good way... ( outside 780 -Titan ( and their again, its not really dramatic )

The lineup will be really strange:
    760 = a bit slower of 670, 760TI a bit slower of 680, 770 = a bit faster of 680...

The 760TI will end up against the 7970 ( non ghz ), so each time on the old competition lineup, you have a gpu : 7950boost vs 760, 7970 vs 760TI, 7970 GHZ vs 770 where AMD have just to reduce the price of cards released 1 year and an half ago.. I dont think Nvidia want their 700 series look to be just here for get something against specific AMD cards of the last generation. They surely want to advance and work on the next generation.

My Asus GTX760 passed 3D11 at 1358 last night, I was going to buy an Evga SC also to see which clocks better but I can't see it beating the Asus. I have a second Asus on the way so I will report back after testing that.

Better watch the VRM's, had one of my Asus 670's die due to hot VRM's. The coolers are pretty sad performance wise.

Yeah, I can't beleive how ty the coolers on the reference GTX670 are. I would never buy a reference model.

I love it, no don't fix the issues that you had with GTX570 by releasing a decent cooler and adequate pwm on your higher end cards. No, just lock the voltage instead.

IDK, it seems like they have actually. 1300mhz is far from the norm on GTX680 and 670. I've had 5 680s and two 670s. One of the 680s can do 1300mhz at 1.21v and one of the 670s might have come close.

I don't know about GTX760 but 1300mhz seems far more common on GTX770.

    Hello guys.

Is there any way to tweak power options on gtx 760 bios? kbt 1.25 can not modify these fields.

Figured out the manual way. 200000mW max for the gtx760.

Correct me if i am wrong, but msi bios is capped at 1304Mhz max boost, asus at 1290Mhz, while evga can boost 1358Mhz.
Perhaps thats why those cards have bit different oc potentials.
Stock gtx760 bios is capped at 1262Mhz.

Both of my 670's went 1300+ with better cooling, just had the nasty issue of the VRM heating up. Running at stock now since all I have for backup is a GTX480..

In my country, GTX760 is too much overpriced, and for that reason, it isn't the best gpu in price/performance ratio.

The compute performance (or lack thereof), DX11.1 with ONLY Feature Level 11_0, no OpenCL 1.2 support and other missing capabilities is giving me an ulcer. I want to buy this card for gaming very bad, but I use Folding@Home, Bitcoin, and other OpenCL applications. AMD needs to lower the price of the 7950 Boost so I can get what I want. Either that or Nvidia needs to get on the ball with a GTX 765 that has the proper features.
