Thermalright has always delivered good quality and performing HSFs. I laugh at the constant increase in fan size however. Soom they will be using 300mm fans or scramjet tech to cool CPUs.

I have a backup CPU cooler very similar to this, the Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus, they are excellent backup coolers that are dirt cheap but my preference is still to modify a sealed loop cooler. Temps probably aren't quite as good even modded but the amount of extra space they give inside a case is invaluable imo.

There are plenty of good HSFs that do not cause any space issues even in SFF. I wouldn't suggest a 140mm fan for a SFF. The Hyper 212 is an excellent HSF and very cost effective.

Excellent and cost effective yes, but a sealed loop CPU cooler gives you a lot of extra space in the case thats something you really only appreciate once you have it. I bought a CoolIT ECO ALC just to try out sealed loop CPU cooling as I found a really good deal on the unit, I wasn't expecting any earth shattering results although I had expected to shave perhaps 5c - 7c off load temps, that didn't really happen which in itself proves what a good cooler the Hyper 212 Plus is but the extra space I have and how much easier it is to work in my case with the ECO ALC is just a pure delight. I used to have to at least remove the CPU fan if I was to do something even as simple as put new memory in but theres no hassles in my case anymore with the ALC nomatter what I need to do, its great

Thermalright to me is what comes to mind when I think cpu cooling.
Got a house full of them and all i use on my builds.
