OK I just dropped in a 7850 but after installing latest driver from AMD for WinXP 32 (12.6?) GPUz says I don't have OpenCL. What do I need to do now.

    Quick google search

try older drivers. IIRC AMD dropped WinXP support in OpenCL support with AMD APP 2.7. catalyst 11.2-11.4 should be last one which have proper opencl support at WinXP

A 7xxx series card will not run on XP to my knowledge. Takes vista or higher. ATI stopped APP SDK support for XP after 12.1 I believe. I know 11.8 works (I'm using it on this XP with a 5830) but only on 5xxx and 6xxx series cards.

Thanks, I'm brain burnt today forgot those posts. Guess I'll switch my Nvidia cards to the XP machine and put the 7850 on Win7

You can set "report_results_immediately" back to 0 for this project to help the server strain.

And yes, if you want to use all the GPU Cards installed in your system, then set "use_all_gpus" to 1.

Uninstalled all AMD drivers/software, rebooted, ran driversweeper till nothing was there, rebooted, and installed 12.11 beta.

While i was at it I increased power limit to 50%, fan to 40%, and GPU Core to 1250.

Of course you probably just jinxed me and it will stall again shortly after I write this.

Regarding the WUs that get "stuck," I think I may have fixed it on my system. I changed my 2d clocks to match my 3d clocks on my 7850 and I haven't had a stuck WU in about 36 hours. Your power consumption will go up in a 24 hour period, but it shouldn't be too much more.

Yeah, under C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE. Just have to kill CCC.exe and MOM.exe before modifying the profile.xml. Restart CCC and you should have your changes done.

This makes sense as why adding more threads makes it not get "stuck". With 8 threads running on a 7950 it never has a chance to get down to 2D clocks as it is always processing.

Hmm, makes sense, but even when running 4 threads on my 7850 I get times where I have 0% GPU utilization. I'm still going to keep my 2d clocks the same as my 3d clocks for that one time it is at 0%.

My 7950 rarely goes to 0%. Jumps between 85%-99% most of the time.

I see they changed results time to "CPU Time / Elapsed Time (hours)" on the WGC Results Status page.

I just replaced an i3-3220 with an i7-3770k (6th sig rig). I also removed two GT 240 gpus that were crunching HCC GPU. Will be interesting to see how the 7 threads of WCG on the cpu compare to the points output of the 2 GT 240 cpus!
    Main: i7-930 @ 2.8GHz HT on; 1x GIGABYTE GTX 660 Ti OC 100% GPUGrid
    2nd: i7-920 @ 2.66GHz HT off; 1x EVGA GTX 650 Ti SSC 100% GPUGrid
    3rd: i7-3770k @ 3.6GHz HT on, 3 threads GPUGrid CPU; 2x GIGABYTE GTX 660 Ti OC 100% GPUGrid
    Part-time: FX-4100 @ 3.6GHz, 2 threads GPUGrid CPU; 1x EVGA GTX 650 100% GPUGrid
