I'm confused. The Anandtech article says all you need to get RAID 0 trim working is RST 11.2 or greater.

    http://www.anandtech.com/show/6161/i...rds-we-test-it

It doesn't mention anything about 11.5+ OROM's and 11.5+ RST.

For a 7-series MB, which is it? Do you need 11.2 RST only or do you need 11.5+ ORM and 11.5+ RST?

intel also mention 11.2. i don't think you need the 11.5 anything for the z77.

You can either use the RSt driver/ROM combination RST v11.2 or RST(e) v11.5. Both conbinations do support Trim within the RAID0 array of an Intel Z77 chipset system.

^^Just disable the "Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology" service. Will keep "IAStorDataMgrSvc" from running and leaking memory until a proper fix comes out.

TRIM+Raid0 working on an ASUS P8P67? If so, can you recommend a RST+OROM combination? Thanks!

Why do you think that? According to what I have read and according to my own tests Intel's 6-Series chipsets are not (yet) supported by this feature.
If so, can you recommend a RST+OROM combination? Thanks!
Although TRIM may not work within the RAID of your P67 system, I recommend to use either the combination RST v11.2.0.1006 driver / v11.2.0.1527 OROM or RST(e) v11.5.2.1001 drivers / v11.5.0.1582 OROM.

From the forum it seems to be a version built in march, so it's older than 11.5.

notice how compressible sequential reads are way slower than incompressible sequential reads on a sandforce drive so this is very odd

It might be because generating compressable data (0 fill) is much easier then random data. Lower CPU usage means lower CPU/IO power states and lower results.

Try the benchmarks again using the new driver, but have something running at idle/lowest priority in the background to keep the CPU out of idle power states.

Yes, test it anyway, just to be sure. Linx is a good program for creating random background load.
