Wait, that has been fixed already (with bios 1206 for Deluxe and 0703 for WS).

Unless you're looking at a different asus website than me, p8c ws is still on the launch BIOS..

1. Always enable ps2 detection when user power on by power button.
2. Revise setup strings.
3. Update ME code.

ME version string remained the same 8.0.2.1410 as it was with bios 0703.
Or do they mean other "ME code"?

Could some one pls give me a base line if this is about ok??

Regarding P8Z77-V PRO and lack of "VTT" setting, I found a thread at G.Skill forum where Administrator (Tradesman) says VTT is combined with VCCSA.

Also new BIOS released : P8Z77-V PRO BIOS 1504
1.Improve compatibility with Windows 8 OS.
2.Improve system stability.
3.Improve memory compatibility.

Im not sure if it is the new bios or bumping up the VCC, but stability has improved for higher memory OC.

Yeah that looks about right neo_rtr, you may be able to use lower PLL (1.6-1.7). PCH looks high , my default = 1.05v.

Is it only me or has it bothered others too?

Pressing F8 during boot brings up the BIOS boot order option. F8 is also used during boot to get into Safe Mode in Windows. It would have been better had Asus assigned some other key for boot order option because currently booting into Safe Mode is PIA.

It might have been but it's really easy the way it is right now. Just spam F8, when prompt by the boot menu chose the disk you wish to boot from ( in this case the most obvious choice must be the one with your windows instal ) then just keep spamming F8 and you'll enter windows boot menu, easy

Not sure when 11.5 will be added at the moment. Usually OROM updates are only made if absolutely necessary and are only released after qualification.

Hi Raja and Good Day , This is why i keep asking for a New Bios update with the latest Bios Raid OROM 11.5.
I have submited technical Inquirys directly at Asus with the same request with no concrete answer :/ can you check for me when Asus its going to give the support that im asking for my New Motherboard Asus P8Z77-V LK , or at least give then a nudge up there at the Bios enginers , thank you.

RAID 0 TRIM has indeed arrived. It won’t be long before we start seeing board manufacturers serving up 11.5.0.1582 or higher OROMs with their BIOS’s. When they do you can be confident that whether you are running Windows 7 or 8 along with the correct chipset/s and IRST driver your RAID 0 array will have functioning TRIM. Intel has delivered on their promise to give us what we’ve all been waiting for RAID 0 TRIM. As of today there is NOTHING a single drive can do that a RAID 0 Array cannot do better. This day has been a long time coming and brings with it forth coming satisfaction for thousands of INTEL RAID 0 users. Awesome job INTEL, simply awesome!

I was told not until next year (which may be bought forward when everything is ready but NOT before). That's likely why you are not getting a off-bat response. Validation of all of this takes time. It is not something they are just going to throw out there as it will screw up people's data, which most of the "hey give it to me" guys aren't going to go around fixing for us.. That's all I can say for now as it's all I know. If that changes any time I will have something to add, but I have not heard anything new - we are usually cautious as Intel's validation process is known to fail (these drivers have been pulled recently due to coding errors). Plus the firmware updates from the SSD vendors need some air time.

This will be my only response on this until/when I have something to report and that won't be until things are ready.

I bought a little P8Z77-M Pro for a netbox upgrade for the missus, along with a 3770K and 8GB or Ares rams. When I assembled it to start working with it I could not get it to POST. I tried two different sets of ram and three power supplies, all of which came out of running pc's and still no go. So I took it back to the place of purchase where the store guy appeared to run into the same symptom, after swapping rams, cpu and them mobo he still couldnt get it to boot, so he tried a new power supply and it booted. After finding that he had to backtrack and retest everything, eventually he had the original combination of parts back together and it booted fine. To his credit he exchanged my mobo anyway but he told me that it was not the cause of my problem. When I got it home I tried my psu again and still no POST. So today I bought a new HX650 for another build and it still will not POST, so what could I be doing wrong? The mobo is resting on the mobo box, its not in a case, factory cpu cooler for testing, and the same Ares rams .... I really do not understand what is going on. The power LED on the mobo lights up and that is all the mobo does, no fans spinning, no POST LED's , nothing.

Any help would be great.

Hi,

Sounds odd.

1) If that PSU of yours has a fault (might not be visible on a DMM or PSU tester), it could have damaged the boards somewhat.

2) Check the CPU cooler you are using is not over-clamped.

3) It might be worth clearing the CMOS with the CPU removed from the board and seeing if that brings it back.

If none of that helps, I would likely exchange it for a new board and try the new PSU on it only. Better still, take your memory modules, CPU and new PSU down to the store and make sure the system POSTs there first.

OK, the cpu, ram and two of my psu's all work together on my Gene-V. This confirms the mobo is faulty right? The last psu I tried on the P8Z77-M Pro was brand spanking new, only ever plugged into this mobo.

Not sure where the fault lies at this point, but I'd advise you to take that lot down to the store if they will oblige and see what becometh...

I have MVG, 3770K, samsung green. setup which is giving regular invalid results on WCG. I am thinking that I need to investigate PLL adjustment.

I am 0.04V above cpu volts needed for Prime95 18hrs just now. Passed memtest for the same time too

Is there a logical sequence or set of tests to adjust PLL and remove the final rough edges of an overclock ??

Raja, small question. I'm currently testing the brand new Corsair Platinums 2666C10kit. But I'm having SPD issues with the Gene V board. Tested on 0701-0078 and 1101 bios. What happens : I load XMP profile (10-12-12-31 2T 1.65Vdimm )
and the board sets 11-13-13-35 2T...

If I deselect the RAM divider and leave it on AUTO it sets 1333Mhz with C9-9-9-27 timings. I mailed Gareth and Jake from Corsair to see if they can reproduce the bug. Can't test the sticks on the GB board as that one refuses to post

I din't have any XMP issues with the GEILs nor G.Skill kits, so I suspect something is wrong with either the Corsair SPD programming or a bug between ASUS and Corsair. btw I love the 1.4VCSSA voltage too :p

Reduce the CPU or memory overclock and see if it persists. Any 24/7 OC that needs adjustment of PLL voltage (overvoltage) is best tailed back.

If the board applies XMP correctly with other modules rated at these speeds, it could be a bug in the XMP profile. If it's not that then maybe DDR3-2600+ we ignore to ensure the board at least POSTs because the memory controllers are all over the place. Just set it manually instead and see if it works. If it does, I would not be bothered about it too much as I'd rather keep a looser over-ride from a support perspective given the variance in memory controller abilities.

becos u set maximus tweak mode 2 , leave at auto if u want xmp timings.

its strange as well that i see auto in your pic, when u enable xmp the timings will be keyed in like you actually keyed in the timings as well unless u set them to auto again

It sounds very much like the problem i am having with my P8Z77 WS.
The difference is that if i press the On button one to many times it will come at the end right and boot.
Sometimes it could take 30mins to get it to boot. One thing i noticed was that if the room was cold i would not boot as easy as if the room was like 24,25+ C.
One thing i used to do is this. Press ON mobo would not boot. Then wait 10secs press reset then On again. after a while it could come up.
I took the mobo back to the shop and they had no problem. The modo was at the end replaced but i still see some symptoms. I have lower the speed on my dram to 2000Mhz alt 2133Mhz from 2400 to see if it makes a difference.
Have read a nr of post at various forums of people have a 2 sec delay boot or no boot etc and speculations are about the voltage increace on new cpus, mobos and how manifactures are implementing methods to deal with it. Surge procetions etc.
To be honest my 1200 PSU seems fine and multimeter readings show ok Volts. So i dont think in my case is the PSU.
Weak memory controler some one else told me, ie CPU needs to be replaced.

Likely PSU - won't be able to see it on a DMM. I would try another PSU (different model).
