You are spot on. This is correct

However, in intel toolbox it shows the same for the hours, so I don't know what is happening or why it is not updating.
That sounds strange to me... At least Intel SSD toolbox should display the correct smart info....

The G1 has one advantage and one disadvantage. It uses 50nm nand with 10000 P/E when the G2 has 34nm nand with 5000 P/E but with no trim the WA is a lot higher and the write speed decreases much more.

Well that stinks, I have a C300 too. Is there a Mac equivalent to SSDlife?

It's a Mac. You don't need to know anything other than Almighty Eternal Steve loves you and you should do His bidding.

Took this screenshot right now, compared to 2 days ago, power on hours count only increased by 5. I refreshed etc. Maybe I need to restart? Although if I would need to restart, it is still strange that it increased by 5 hours, and I didn't restart since the previous screenshot.

I don't HATE macs, they're just aimed at a different market segment to me ... a more pretentious, metrosexual, Starbucks-dwelling market segment. Now if they released a product that was all about performance and to hell with the "style" gurus, then I might be vaguely interested ... but I can't see that happening.

Ok, I'll give you a straight answer.
I grew up with computers when Apple were innovators and led the field. (ie Apple II era). At that time Apple embraced the ideals of open hardware, open software and philanthropy. It was common to buy the latest computer magazine and have code listings for interesting programs contributed by everyone from regular uses to the companies themselves. Since that time the Almighty Dollar (or unit of currency of your choice) has taken control, almost all of the original proponent of open systems have turned their backs on the principles that got them involved and going in the first place and software has become a legal and ethical minefield. IBM, not innocent by any means on the software front, maintained an open architecture for the Personal Computer, allowing anyone to build and sell hardware and software for their systems (patent infringements not withstanding of course). Apple, particularly after Jobs returned to the company, went all out and closed EVERYTHING. Every last spec of solder has to be Apple approved as does every last line of code. Add to that the axing of ALL Apples philanthropic programs on Job's orders and you are left with a company that is purely and unashamedly about wringing every last cent out of the customer and totally dominating it's product ecosystem at the substantial expense of innovation, the very same kind of innovation that gave birth to them in the first place. Add to that the huge number of denial of warranty complaints against the company (iPods and MacBooks in particular), the products Apple has claimed to have invented that they plainly didn't (iPod again) and the persistent focus on style over and at the expense of function and that's a big part of what I have against Apple Corporate.
As for Jobs himself, he walked away from his first child and denied paternity, including committing perjury until forced to admit the truth by DNA testing. Any man that does that to a child is a piece of shyte.
Next time you have to pay $99 for a security update for Mac OS, when even Micro$oft give those out to customers for free, you might see why I'm a little unkind towards Apple products.

Work time =! Powered on time.

Work time is the time the device spent reading/writing.

Edit: Oh. I see Intel's Toolbox says powered on time. /shrug

Yeah, don't know how this became an Apple thread, but anyway - they make decent products, some of which I actually like, but I refuse to support them because of their business model.

(And my brother is actually one of the ones that they refused to fix his Ipod under warranty claiming it was user error that damaged it... BS - I know the user and I saw how he used it) /rant

24 hour prime stable? Please, I'm 24/7/365 WCG stable!

So you can do Furmark, Can you Grid???

There is no problem to find out how much you write to your C300.
If you look at the raw smartvalue 173/AD and multiply with the capacity of your C300 it's easy to calculate how much it writes.

    The C300 above has written 64 GiB x 63 = 4032 GiB

I don't think that worked, only 1 more hour is registered since my last post. Still haven't restarted though, but I will be reformatting soon.
