Guys, I have a Seasonic X460 that has the same connectors on each end, want me to go through and check it? I have the advantage of color coded wires.

    That would be awesome.
If we have 2 people doing it I'm sure it will turn out right

Just so happens, I just finished up testing mine with a DMM. Mine has been untouched and still has factory sleeving.

Again, this is for a Seasonic X460 and not 100% guaranteed for the Corsair AX series.

Using the same setup as zero did.

On the PSU end there are individual sense wires for the 3.3, 5 and 12 volt rails. These are pins 7, 3, and 27 respectively.

Seems like those don't match either, none of them actually do
I wish Corsair could just provide a pin-out.....

I have an as yet unmodified AX850 at home that needs those cables shortening anyway so when i get back i will take that cable apart and take lots of pics and carefully match these up

later than i expected but i was roped into going out last night before i had a chance to do this, from my ax850 using the same naming convention as before:

    a - 23
    b - 12
    c - 4
    d - 28
    e - 6
    f - 24
    g -
    h - empty
    i - 17
    j - 1
    k - 16
    l - 26
    m - 9
    n - 7,8
    o - 19, 20
    p - 15
    q - 5
    r - 2,3
    s - 18
    t - 14
    u -
    v - 10,27
    w - 11
    x - 22

on mine g and u are twisted together and go to 13, 25 have no way of telling which is which until i figure out a way of removing pins...

    Different approach...

some sets of the cables are bound together. It seems to me that these can all be removed together and replaced in any order b/c they all have the same voltage according to the pinout for the male MOBO plug. This could be why the guides attached are not matching up. At the factory, I am pretty sure that the guy who is assembling these things just sticks the bundled ones in any one of the available spots... make sence? Theoretically we should be able to do the same as we sleeve them.

Also, pick up a pack of heavy duty staples from office supply store. They do an excellent job of removing pins. much better than standard staples. Stronger and you don't have to use two at a time to compress the pin. Really quick once you get the hang of it. Also, paracord makes awesome sleeving!

The Corsair AX are not only keyed different, but the cable layouts are different as well. I had Martin sleeve my PCI-E power cables and he did it according to standard layouts and the PC refused to start. You really need to be careful and do each cable one at a time when sleeving the AX series.

I had issues even doing that, even for my second ax series PSU.
Can anyone confirm Martin's guide above is correct?
