unless you like the look of apogee better.

usually resellers sell the bracket for ~10 USD on the side.
    Supreme HF comes with it.

Go with EK-HF! These look great, and performance is top notch!
Just pick whatever version you like the looks of most, they all perform about the same.

Yeah, but what's the difference between Acetal, Niquel, Copper and Acetal + Nickel?

Plexi looks neat, especially with colored fluid circulating through - but it's also the easiest to mess up if you overtighten the fittings. The full metal ones (Copper or Nickel) are better in that respect.

Of course, a steady hand and some common sense, and you should be fine with Plexi/Acetal as well

Most important thing: they all have the same base and mounting, so they all perform pretty similarly.

Plexi cracks especially when port/fitting stress put on it. Get acetal or metal.

Just don't over tighten your fittings.....

I've got plexis on all my blocks, except 1 gpu, I got the last FC4870 plexi top out of the EK factory!
which means one of my cards is still acetal (if anybody has one spare or knows of one please PM me! )

I can defiantly see the potential for cracking the top, just gotta be careful and not put too much bend on the tubes, as mentioned in the tubing review, that can crack tops by itself..

If you mind buy a new block...

    http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=24222

Just swap the tops and you can sell the Acetal topped one and make back a bit of the cash.

didn't realise ppc still had them , thanks for that WL
Eddy said i got his last one.
I am in Oz and ordering from PPC is not such a simple option, none of my local suppliers have it,
but i have wanted a few other things from them, so this may make it worth it.
but im sure somebody has an old one they no longer use, its a 4870 for firetrucks sake!

saint19, that's good - just one small note. The fittings of that size do fit on the block, but with only 1mm of spacing.

It may be easier to route tubing or tighten the compressions if you added one 45 degree adapter on one of the ports.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking in use an aquarium pump, are you agree? or do you recommend some one.

I think aquarium pumps are more designed for flow rather than pressure - so they might not cope too well with the restriction of a CPU block.

I'd personally suggest getting the 'lil brick' popularly known as the DP1200, OCZ Hydropulse 800, DangerDen CPX-Pro or EK DCP 4.0

It does a good job circulating the water at a very reasonable price.

Laing pumps ARE better, but at a much higher price - and the gains aren't too big.

but i'd recommend you look at the laing/swiftechs ddc/35x/etc

I think that's just a reservoir. You'd need to purchase the pump separately.

This is the pump I'm talking about: http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/ekwaek4012vd.html
