    !!Razer products and Goo-Off!!

This is a friendly warning to those of you who own Razer products.

Goo-Off is a a great product which is safe to use on many plastics, but not the plastic Razer uses in its fine products.

I own sever Razer mice, including the Lachesis, Death-Adder, and Mamba, as well as the Tarantula keyboard.

Today I was removing the worn-out Teflon feet on my Lachesis and needed to get rid of the sticky residue left over. I should have tested the Goo-Off on a small area as per the instructions, but I had not seen the product adversely effect anything I had used it on and poured it on.

The result is the plastic in Razer products actually melts and turns white like wax. Rubbing the Goo-Off resulted in leaving molded-smudged fingerprints on the bottom of the mouse, and making it not-level. I also managed to get two drips of the product on my Tarantula, which left ugly powdery white "acid burns" on contact.

I tested a drop on the bottom of my Death-Adder and it left the same mark, and there is no way I am using it on my Mamba =P

Be warned--when it comes time to replace your mice feet, use water and elbow grease. =D

I went with Everclear first, but it didn't do the job. Then I moved up to 90% rubbing alchohol, which still did nothing.
