Polished ALU cases - Cosmos S / ATCS840

I've seen some polished Stackers here at XS, but was just that.

I'm looking at a ATCS840 for my WC build, and its simple, flat design makes me wonder.... Sanding the brushed exterior and polishing it, will it look nice?

Some friens here in Brazil are polishing the frame of a Cosmos S, and I believe the result will be good, but the front and top are made of other materials, and a full-mirror look is impossible without chrome.

Do you guys think a polished ATCS is possible? with good results?

If you put the hundred hours into sanding and polishing it, of course it will look nice. If you put 20 hours into it--it will look like crap.

Not quite sure what you are asking, but if you are asking if it is possible to polish it to a mirror shine then yes. =D You can sand off the anodizing and work through 400, 600f, 800f, 800vf, 1000vf, 2000vf. Then use tripoli polish on it with a bench grinder with a buffer attachment or buy an expensive hand-held polisher and you can get a mirror finish.
