I predicted a double-GPU just around the corner yesterday, LOL . I bet it is a 460x2, can the source of sources confirm it?

Surely they have to use fully functional gf104 chips, 2x460 wouldn't have the commanding lead over 480 it needs to be useful addition to nvidia line.

That would be too hot, too power hungry, and too expensive. That's why we didn't get a double-GPU while 470 has been out there for a while.

I hope it is 460x2 2GB. It would be cool, quiet, power efficient, and hopefully will go for $349. In case, it will send a shock wave and tear apart all prices from top to bottom. The price is just some hope and speculations tho, but in case will make the day for us frequent consumers of GPU.

GF104 x2 no doubt and no surprise *edit* my prediction, with the same amount of ram per chip as a 480 and released at $600.

Is there a chance that they have a 460 arch chip GF106 but its got 470 performance and they want to sell 2 in one card for 550 $ ?

2x460 is the highest probability because of the said heat and power consumption complications that would come using 2 x 470.

Also for their flagship card they would want hdmi 1.4

Or maybe it exists but you are too primitive to have the ability to see it? You are assuming that you have the ability, but you can't even see infrared or WiFi, and many other stuff right in front of your nose. It doesn't mean they doesn't exists, you and your rain are too primitive for those stuff. You don't have the brain-power to scene them.

But lets keep it to technical stuff, it is not a good idea to bring God into this, it may offend some peoples believes. You don't need a big brain to see a 460x2 (or a variant of it) coming soon.

    It's true.
Like I said before, nVIDIA will release a Dual-GPU Fermi this summer ( looks like in late July - August ) and if things go as planned, we'll also have the GTX 485 in Sep.

    2x460 is lame.

Won't beat the 5970 and roughly the 480......, and Nvidia dual gpu cards seemed to be last-hour effort, to juts take the crown back.
This one, to work, need two better GF104 than the 460's.....

i hope it's just a prototype done for shows, but will not be sold. Even a Asus freaky experiments will not benefit to nvidia. An official one would be worse.

Nvidia want sell toasters after this autodestruction act ?

This is not what we are looking for. It is going to be hot, hungry and expensive. Just a BS.

We are waiting for the real deal, a full GF104x2 with 2GB+.
