hipro5, the only real legend left in the 3D business. Your devotion to the community is immeasurable.

New age clockers (who seem to be quiet in this thread) cannot touch your undisputed status as a 3D legend!

    I only use hardmod.

    Define 'higher' VCore.

Ran 1.25 and 1.35V, but no change in post behavior .

Will remove IC and see how that works.

    Bios helps more?

The big problem is the insane condensation when going from -100°C back to -20°C just to boot. If it would be like -60°C, it would already help quite a lot.

Another issue is some issues with changing clocks in 2D idle. I can complete Vantage at 1150, but increasing the clock to 1200 makes Windows lock up and bluescreen. It seems pretty strange that a difference of 50MHz can mean 3D stable to 2D totally unstable.

    HUGE THANKS Hipro !

Since 480 official launch, boblemagnifique, pt1t and I have knocked to every door without any success to get this fix.

I was personnaly begin to sadly think that most of top ocers were acting like divas for unknown purposes (besides the few who did take 2min to answered me)...

I want to say : Guys, by doing that you simply killing the passion of ocing in young and/or "little" ocers, so tell me what will you all do when there will be nobody to compete with anymore ? For me, being the best ocer not only mean always being in the Hwbot Top 5, sorry...

Thanks again Hipro5, for all the work done and for all the help you keep giving to the community ! Besides your great skills, that's one reason why YOU ARE DA REAL MASTER and REALLY deserves it !

    Bye

    Thanks pep.....

Now here try this new one..... AT YOUR OWN RISK.....

P.S. Have by side another card to flash back in case it doesn't boot after flashing....
I haven't tested it this yet to see IF the VGA boots up.... (I'll test it in the afternoon as soon as I have my LN2)...
IF it boots, then I think that you have a BIG advance as for the CBB too.....

P.S.2 LOWER or DISABLE your VCore HARDMOD TOO.....

GTX480 NO COLD SLOW + CBB a bit fixed...

I think we should all chip in and buy him something nice. Great job. Not only did you post help for everyone you are even following up on it. I'd take you out for dinner and drinks if you lived near me. Thanks again. If you ever come to the states you can stay in my cottage on the lake. Hows that sound?

Kinc released the CBB removal in the Xtreme 3D section.
A little late, but maybe because of employer interference.

Now Let's make an epic ( 99.99% real ) story for this action :

In these days overclocking turned into a decent place for manufacturers to sell more via overclocker's records and shows and many overclockers are trying to show that they're better than others in overclocking to get more benefits from manufacturers like better samples and etc .

When top overclockers are trying to improve themselves in hwbot ranking everyday and get better ranking from 5 to 2 , 2 to 1 , hipro makes himself an overclocker @ the higher LEVEL !
Instead of JUST GOOD HARDWARE and MEANINGLESS world records , Hipro5 submitted a NEW world record in OCiers mind in his legendary way to show the difference of a REAL and NATIVE legend and the people who try to show themselves like a legend !

Maybe people forget who submitted gtx480's best clocking in the future but will not forget this help and contribution for overclocking this card .

    End of the Story
