How to quiet down the pumps?

I have two DDC 3.2 pumps running in separate loops and a dozen of fans running under 1k rpm. I find that having even one of the pump on generates more noise than from all of my fans combined. I used the softpads come with the pumps, they don't seem to help much. Case vibration is one thing, but the noise coming straight from the pump seems to be just as much of a problem by itself. Both loops are fully bled (ran for two months, no bubbles in the loop).

Any suggesting how to cut the noise?

You can lower the voltage on them a little bit, I think the lowest starting voltage is 9v, you can try that.
You can also put sound absorbing material around them.

Edit: It will ofcourse hurt performance a little bit if you undervolt them.

the best thing I've found to mount pumps on is velcro. that way you get a sound dampening interface as well as the ease of temporary removal. if there's a lot of noise coming from the pumps themselves... are you sure it's not air or anything?

Why did you bought TWO DDC 3.2 in the first place, when there is a slower version, which makes a lot less noise?

I have 2 DDC 3.1 and 2 DDC 3.2. Running them side by side in my hand with aftermarket tops, I can barely notice the sound difference. AT 1 meter inside case, with 1200 rpm fans or even turning fans off I cant tell the difference, and I tried because I am sound sensitive and wanted quiet system. With original tops, both 3.2's made a swishing sound that was annoying, but changing top to top fed inlet xspc took care of that. Also, if the pump is not completely decoupled from aluminum case, it amplifies the humming sound. If its the humming sound, I would hold the pump free inside the case and see if the sound still bothers you. Part of issue is how close the case sits to you, mine is on the floor so pump is almost 1 meter from my ear, all I hear is whoosh of fans.

dont think theres anything you can do other than completely insulate the pump in something that deadens the sound, which will probably overheat the pump.

unless your pump has a serious noise problem thats just the way ddc3.2's sound. you have 2 ddc3.2's so u must have a high performance system, i wouldn't be so anal about the ddc3.2's sound
