running 25 now, could get much more from my C0 stepping, and havent figured out why I have to choose the disk to boot to, but barely spent any time on it, may need a D0 cpu to squeeze some more from it.

So.. I finaly tested it.. and nothing. Maybe I'm noob, or its just cause of beta stage, or it doesn't like C0's. I was able to get 225 on P07 (I have it even validated).
But with this I wasn't even able to reach 220.. Not sure why. I don't remember much of my 225 settings from P07, but I'm quite sure that I even needed more voltages with G25 to reach 215. Any clues?

Those who reached 225 BCLK with G25 and have C0's, can you please post settings somewhere? Im curious and wish to try some other than my settings..

Btw. I found something interesting.. cause Bloodrage has two BIOS chips I've flashed P07 to second and G25 to first. Jumper is set to Force BIOS 1 .. and I've tried to set in BIOS to read BIOS from second chip .. and it works?! I tought that if I set it to Force BIOS 1.. it will read only from first bios chip.. wierd.

I am waiting for the final release. I played with it but I found it to be to buggy right now. A lot of promise and I can't wait for the final, but I am sticking with P08 for now.

i just want to ask when the new bios will come out?
hope the pcie frequency is fully working and they include the fix to use cpu tweaker with BR.
i also tried using the core i7 turbo tool made by unclewebb & it seems the 21x multi is dropping down to 20 when in heavy loads or using LinX / IntelBurntest.
hope this also fix in the next bios issue

    thanks in advance

I think hardware mod will be necessary in any case.

There is a fix for the multi dropping , Under CPU setting you need to enable the Current Feedback overide, this will fix the multi dropping under load...

I got fed up with the whole issue of not being able to set RAID as first boot device, so I "degraded" it to a dedicated benching mobo. I'm using an MSI Eclipse SLI now (don't worry, I didn't pay for it), and to my extremely huge surprise, it actually works better than the Bloodrage... It even does light overclocking better, can't say anything about extreme, since I'm not wasting insulation on the MSI board. :P

^ oh seriously...come on, the MSI will not match the BR ...that is, if you know what you're doing. But if you prefer "auto over clocking" well then, have fun.

Sounds like frustration from lack of knowledge, ability, and the correct parts to me.

Odd how some people confuse cpu core speed w/ outright performance.

Suggestion: buy better memory , and put your i7 rig in your sig.

BTW: I have been running @ 4.26Ghz (on air mind you) for over 2 mos, w/ a C0 stepping CPU and have had ZERO issues- why? Because I bought good memory, go buy memory for cheap- get cheap results (most times).

Try some GSkill Perfect storm (designed as a triple 6 gb set from the start) - you will be very happy with it- FSB of this PC 1985Mhz, it will go higher, but why?

Mean MAchine you must be the only person who can not setup up raid as the first boot device
well you dont set raid as boot device what happens is you setup the disk that are in the raid first
then boot back in to the bios and change the harddisk boot order to the ones you want to boot first
as the raid disk will just have the raid name you give in the harddisk boot order

    hope this helps a little
if not then please give your whole setup and say what disk are plugin and what raid you setting and in the bios what order you are booting everything

i agree about ram selection, with corsair 1600c8d i could boot the system at 220,
and now i try with cheap samsung 1333, and max blck is only 180, despite any high voltages i tried

also with this bios core voltages changes from 1.344 to 1.36 under a load, with vdroop disabled, is it possible to stick it somehow?

RAID as a first boot device works fine like L.T.said.

I have exactly the same RAID problem. If I set it to AHCI then I can boot from a cd. If I set the ich to raid and then try to boot off a cd or anything it just tells me "No operating system installed".

You probably had the array set to some other priority other than the first boot device. Windows then installed the boot loader to the first device in the booting list but installed Windows itself to the array.

Set the array to the first bootable device the next time you reformat/reinstall and that should fix it.

If I remember correctly, to get past this silly issue, you need to connect your optical drive ( DVD/DVD-RW/etc ) to the first SATA port.

Interesting I would have got stuck on that for a bit, didnt know SATA ports had priority over one another.
Thanks in advance as this surely would have been an issue for me.
