Yea.. and im sure that 165 + 2900's real world performance would just smash my system to right?.. ATI loves 3dmarks, not to say the same for actual game performance. I'll upgrade my entire system when its actually worth it and ill see the benefit, and not just in benchmark programs.

    Nice clocking there m8
Very nice clock on the ram!

If that's a 4200+ x2 Manchester here's how your score stacks up on hwbot

    7th for PCMark05
    2nd for 3DMark06
    2nd for 3DMark05
    1st for 3DMark03

I'd say that for the hardware you have, you've done a dam fine job.

drop your ram down a speed and clock that processor up more!! she should easily handle 3ghz, my oldest rig is on the same board with the same processor and im able to hold 3.12ghz, but im on water....
give it a try tho, you should see some remarkable improvements

+1 , this cpu could handle 3 Ghz ++ . each 100 mhz will boost a lot your benchmark score since your card is currently severely limited by your cpu
2600K working in 4.8 GHZ so far

    2600k @(4600 Ghz) 1.42v : (under water)
    Asus B2 mobo
    4 GiG DDR 2400 MHZ
    GTX 570 @ 1.063v ( 910/1820/2001 Mhz) .(under water).
    1020 W PSU

Thats quite a nice score there!

I know my stuff isnt 939, but I think its a good comparison. Your cpu is killing your results, although for all current games my pc handles them fine, as should yours.

    I managed 10122 in 3dmark06
Socket 940 4200+ Windsor 2750MHz (could go more, but not in ntune)
    MSI K9N ultra
    MSI 8800gt OC 715/1660/1945
    2GB Apacer DDR2-800 (set to 667 with 4-4-3-6 1T)

    Im very impressed with
    EDIT: I just ran 3dmark06 using the following settings - 1920 x 1080 16xAF/4xAA, 3DMarks = 9259
My pc dies with AA and AF

I've tried but i end up blue screening at windows load or before post. Right now this is my settings

    240 x 11, 1.55v, 5x HTT // 2.5-3-2-5, 1T, 2.8v 480mhz

Does anyone know what the ram timings should be for my ram? I've tried 2.5-3-3-5 but its still the same. My buddie has a X2 3800 and 2 GB OCZ Platinum and he is at 2.8ghz stable. His is a Toledo core though.. Can anyone help me at least hit 2.7.

You crazy, crazy man reduce that 5x HT right now, it's way out of spec, and it gives almost no gain. Set it to 4x for the 240HTT that you have.
You'll go higher with the cpu too. I can't believe no one has said anything about it.

Here is my lowly 3d score, don't laugh please.

Thats 3.5 Ghz - a little ambitious maybe?

Metz Reduce that 1.55 if it's not too late yet. Like I said change HT to 4 or 3 that should give you higher OC on the cpu. Correct me if am wrong but that
RAM is rated DDR500 isn't it?

I get a little over 10200 with an Opteron 185@3.0Ghz (250x12x4xHT) and a Diamond HD 2900XT OC (800/900). If you want to stick with AMD, get a 780a board and a Phenom X3 or X4. That setup will blow yours out of the water for a decent value.

I'm going to try my luck with my Opty@2.8Ghz and a Visiontek 4870 next week if they're in stock. I'm going to follow my own advice and build a Phenom X4 system in a couple of months with a 790GX mobo+SB750 for some PCIE2.0 lovin'.

HES 100% RIGHT! Lower your HT to 4x ASAP! Your system will run smoother (less errors over the HT bus) and you'll clock A LOT higher.
