Yeah, I got the same thing when I flashed to a higher clocked bios. Nice to have the extra slider range, but no increase in voltage. Looks like this after.

Before this, I was using the cable swap trick... for more volts, i'm gonna hardmod the cards anyway. At first I wasn't sure it was only the bios witch unlocked this... I wanned to make sure before posting. Good to see it works for more people

I need some better cooling on the cards now... achieved 25157 ' 06 yesterday with some LN2 on the cpu.

Excellent, afaik, that's the wr for 3870s and without a volt mod. These cards just fly in crossfire.

Just looked at his score. Nice run by Shamino. You'll probably need a little more from the cpu to catch him.

Which bios? I flashed with the one from the op and still don't have the 1500 slider. I've even reinstalled cat 7.11 along with kb945149 (not sure if needed?).

I´m using a powercolor 3870 right now and i have flashed the bios so i can go past 862mhz on core. Planing to flash again for some higher stock clocks. Which bios works best for my card ? 800/1200 or something like that. And the flash procedure is the same as the 862mhz stop bios ?

    Hi folks.

Ok.. I have (2) 3870.. and I can get 890/1300 on both cards. This is using Denny's BIOS.

I was curious how people are adjusting their vGPU. I have read that people are doing it via BIOS, but I can't find out what tool and how they are doing it. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

    Thanks.

    Ton

I've seen no bios to date that could change volts on the 3870s, a hard vmod is required AFAIK.
