Ok, cleaned it up a bit and made it more readable. I removed the "A" section and changed it to "Other recommended coolers" and deleted all but a few. I was afraid the shear number of coolers listed would cause confusion for new people. Looks alot better now. Added comments to almost all the coolers listed.

what size bga ramsinks do you get and where exactly do you place them for the TTBT mod? Do you place them over the H-retaining bar? On the sides? What performance benefit do you get (degrees)? Thanks.

Well, they were testing with overclocked dual core preslers which are supposed to be some of the hottest processors around. The hotter the processor the better they seem to do. I suggest someone buy this cooler from this forum and test it out with some serious vcore to see if they can find the thermal limits. It works pretty good for a "p.o.s" I never understood why there is so much hate for T.E.C's around here. Lot's of people keep going on about how badly designed this cooler is or whatever. If it's such a bad cooler why does in work so well? I'm sure it does have a thermal limit somewhere, but it still seems to work very well.

did you actually see what the overclocks were.......mild to no vcore increase....wtf is that....with superior cooling you get the ability to put the vcore higher BUT none of the reviews did that because it was crapping out of course. There is no chance in hell TEC will ever be properly cooled by an air cooler

Instead of mc14 ramsinks, what about the mcx159-cu without the fan?

Anyone know if the Thermalright SI-128 will fit on a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3? Also how does this HSF compare with the Ultra 120.

Instead of just assuming that it can't take the heat or that it's "crapping out" at a certain limit we need to find someone we trust to really push it's limits. Regardless, at stock or mild-medium overclock it seems superior to any normal air cooler.

I really wish someone would post some numbers. I'm curious but not quite curious enough to risk $100 + shipping.

Yes, it will. I have one on my DS3 board right now. I did some dry fitting before I put it in.

Make sure you mount it so that the heatpipes are facing down, towards the PCI-xpress slot. You get better clearance all the way around.

I don't see any results yet on conroe. Why do reviewers test it on a amd????
One answer is conroe is low watts so titan isn't necessary well it is for us overclockers.

I put in an order for it this week should be here soon in uk I be testing it on

The Freezer 7 Pro is good but not as good at stock cooling as the Hyper TX but might at least match it with heavy overclocking.

The Blue Orb II is about as good as the Freezer 7 Pro but may not be as good at handling really heavy overclocking.

I haven't read enough about the Ultra-90, but it's bigger brother, the Ultra-120 is far superior to any of these coolers if you want to do any serious overclocking.

I wanted to buy the ultra-120 but it's very expensive, maybe if someone has it and sell it(has a tuniq tower too, so selling it), but the ultra-90 is cheaper.

i think the Rev.B only comes with a fan while the normal one doesn't

and honeslty i don't think that there is a diff between the top h/s greater than 1C on hot cpus

1. Which was better, the hyper tx or freezer 7 pro(i want to overclock my e6600 to like 3,6ghz)?

2. Has it much effect to lap a cooler like these(hyper tx/freezer 7pro)?and is it hard to do it?

I want to overclock my e6600 to 3,6Ghz, and i will just one time hit the max(with air)... so which is better for overclocking?
