Ok, cleaned it up a bit and made it more readable. I removed the "A" section and changed it to "Other recommended coolers" and deleted all but a few. I was afraid the shear number of coolers listed would cause confusion for new people. Looks alot better now. Added comments to almost all the coolers listed.
Say AzraelDarkAngel,
what size bga ramsinks do you get and where exactly do you place them for the TTBT mod? Do you place them over the H-retaining bar? On the sides? What performance benefit do you get (degrees)? Thanks.

did you actually see what the overclocks were.......mild to no vcore increase....wtf is that....with superior cooling you get the ability to put the vcore higher BUT none of the reviews did that because it was crapping out of course. There is no chance in hell TEC will ever be properly cooled by an air coolerOriginally Posted by AzraelDarkangel

Thanks man for the ramsink mod for the TTBT. I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks but will post when I return with the results...

I see very few reviews that really push the limits of overclocking with any cooler. Instead of just assuming that it can't take the heat or that it's "crapping out" at a certain limit we need to find someone we trust to really push it's limits. Regardless, at stock or mild-medium overclock it seems superior to any normal air cooler.Originally Posted by dinos22

Instead of mc14 ramsinks, what about the mcx159-cu without the fan?
Edit: Oh wait, forgot about mounting the ttbt, well cut the mcx159 in 2 or 4 peaces then...

Anyone know if the Thermalright SI-128 will fit on a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3? Also how does this HSF compare with the Ultra 120.

I really wish someone would post some numbers. I'm curious but not quite curious enough to risk $100 + shipping.Originally Posted by AzraelDarkangel

Yes, it will. I have one on my DS3 board right now. I did some dry fitting before I put it in.Anyone know if the Thermalright SI-128 will fit on a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3? Also how does this HSF compare with the Ultra 120.

Make sure you mount it so that the heatpipes are facing down, towards the PCI-xpress slot. You get better clearance all the way around.
HTH
I been keen to test out the titan amanda for quite awhile( titan armada )
I don't see any results yet on conroe. Why do reviewers test it on a amd????
One answer is conroe is low watts so titan isn't necessary well it is for us overclockers.
I put in an order for it this week should be here soon in uk I be testing it on
6400. I let you know.
Great thanks. Going to put one on my DS3Originally Posted by davyjoneslocker

Which cooler is the best cooler of these(plz make a list, with 1: bla.. 2: bla.. etc.):
Hyper TX
Freezer 7 pro
Blue orb II
Ultra-90
I am going to overclock my e6600.

after the launch of scythe infinity i wonder if the tuniq tower 120 still beats it.... so far i dont see any review comparing this 2 giant....
Well, the Hyper TX is great at stock or mild overclocking but probably can't handle the heatload as well with serious overclocking. However the design is good at cooling surrounding components.Originally Posted by barzi
The Freezer 7 Pro is good but not as good at stock cooling as the Hyper TX but might at least match it with heavy overclocking.
The Blue Orb II is about as good as the Freezer 7 Pro but may not be as good at handling really heavy overclocking.
I haven't read enough about the Ultra-90, but it's bigger brother, the Ultra-120 is far superior to any of these coolers if you want to do any serious overclocking.
Thanks so the freezer 7 pro is the best, or the hyper tx?(sorry, not so good in english)Originally Posted by AzraelDarkangel
I wanted to buy the ultra-120 but it's very expensive, maybe if someone has it and sell it(has a tuniq tower too, so selling it), but the ultra-90 is cheaper.

I was looking for a infinity or ninja too. The infinity is out of stock here , but the ninja isn't. Is the infinity (much) better then the ninja?Originally Posted by SaFrOuT

Last edited by barzi; 11-12-2006 at 01:54 AM.
i think the Rev.B only comes with a fan while the normal one doesn't
and honeslty i don't think that there is a diff between the top h/s greater than 1C on hot cpus

And another question:
1. Which was better, the hyper tx or freezer 7 pro(i want to overclock my e6600 to like 3,6ghz)?
2. Has it much effect to lap a cooler like these(hyper tx/freezer 7pro)?and is it hard to do it?
AC Freezer performs better w/lapping,it's not to do

I'm just going to use a mid-end cooler.
But which is better:
Freezer 7 pro
Hyper TX
I want to overclock my e6600 to 3,6Ghz, and i will just one time hit the max(with air)... so which is better for overclocking?
