LGA1366 mounitng adapters (d-tek, GTZ, apogee gt/gtx, storm and many others)
-
-
-
laser cut
next part of mountings will be from lapped 1,5mm stainless steel
-
Sent you a PM. Interested in one with back plate for a D-Tek Fusion v2.
-
wouldn't those mounting adapters be also be good backplates if you didn't do the cutout for the waterblock? More money income for less work =)
-
first post updated :)
for backplate pics and screws (on pic m3 screws but can be 4mm)

im with you, also the intel backplate already helps the board from flexing

well when you have backplate, then you add another backplate on top of it, but one that isnt flushed, you could get uneven tension. Expecially since that stock plate isnt square.
That is why swiftech made theres boxy with a hole in the middle.

@op, the square of your backplate is pretty much useless.

ah now I undertsand what you mean but I think its good, 1,5mm stainless is very rigid and mobo will be not flex for even 1mm. LGA775 work with one backplate good, or even without it, LGA1366 will be works good with one or two without problems)
also strenghtes is not very hard in mountings

so backplate without square center hole will be better?

a backplate like swiftech is ideal.
this is what im tring to say.

The back plate needs to be the most rigid part imo. It has to stop the board from flexing with the force of the block being screwed down on it so a solid thicker backplate is best.
Also not sure how 3mm plexi mounts would hold up to the pressure. I think they'd be pretty weak & snap quite easily. 5mm would be better for that I think at least? Anyone else think that?

Looks very neat!!!! Keep up the good work, I would suggest.
Maybe I'm interested as well if I switch to i7.

*crap, sorry for double posting*

Hey friend. Nice one bro!!
YGPM :D

Can you make a hold down and backplate for the Fuzion v2? Or does that Fuzion hold down work with both?
