I cant wait for the 160 mm to put a comair rotron axial on :)
That is a huge ass mofo heatsink. Can't wait to see how well it performs
I wonder how much it weighs?
So this is just a slightly enlarged 9500
But with a slower fan speed for quiet.
If you removed the fans and have mediocre case air flow and your not pushing voltages to hard it may be a good passive choice.
Every since I put my HTPC case together with nothing but Zalman HSFs and Zalman case fans I have a new found enjoyment of silence. I have already pulled the power connections on three of my case fans and it's still too loud. Kudos for Zalman focusing on silence and performance. It's easy to slap a Tornado on something to cool it, it takes more work to make something perform well with very little noise.
Heh, i'd care more about silence, but in my dorm my only sound is through headphones, with Iron Maiden playing - so bring on the loud fans :P
Nice.... very interested to see how it cools the CPU..
It's going to look hot in my case with the 9500 on my GPU already...
How do you support the GFX PCB? Isn't the 9500 a little heavy? What are your temps too? I see you clocked it to 500 core, which is only 10 higher than my old XXX's arrived stock, so did it really give that much an improvement.Quote:

I don't think that would even fit in my case!:slobber:
honestly, I hope zalman tweaked the design of this, cause the 9500 is only a "ok" heatsink.
making it bigger, isn't really gonna do much for it.
i hope we will see many reviews soon cause i was just planning to buy the TT BT but i guess i should wait now
Pls watch your language :rolleyes:Quote:

Don`t think it`ll be cheaper. At least till "old" model is in stock.
Zalman brand also plays part in it`s price.
I hope it wont require disassembling the mobo.
That's a pretty beastly HS/F.
I wonder how it performs, compared to the Tt Bt! I wonder if we have a new king hs/f :). :worm:

one world: humongous
how about a different word COOL :cool:Quote:

well you can't get much cooler than Ambient on Air dude..
but it is alot quieter than the TTBT
a lot quieter !!!!!
i really doubt that
How quiter can yoy get when it`s already absolutly noiseless :p:
A lot quieter than 16 dBA? Somehow, I also doubt that.Quote:

Indeed a big shame for no SLI... :( :p
They just made the fins longer :( . It's a crappy design and I can explain why:
It is not possible to put the heatpipes more in the center of the fins because the fins would be in the way of eachother in the middle. What they did is lengthen the fins on the outside at the point were already in the 9500 extremely little heat is taken away.
The only thing these Zalman coolers are good for is for case modders because they look very pretty. If you want performce for half the price there are better solutions out, also very silent onces.
BTW: Shouldn't the sign in the pic say "high performance" and not "high permance"?
high permance, lol i didn't see that

The only cool thing about the 9500 is that it draws air over the PWMIC and blows it out the rear case fan.
BT just blows a lot of air everywhere, but most imporantly, it sucks the heat out of the CPU.
