+1 for XS.
Good to see.
Sweet!!:woot: :kittenhat:
awesome, gonna come out with a new version?
When I try to validate, it just clears the text boxes and does nothing else...

I see whats wrong but I wont be able to fix it till the morning.
Cool! Good to know you're on it. :)
Congrats on getting the rights.
Very glad to see super pi went somewhere good and didnt fall into bad hands.
wicked mod
Gr8 :)
SPI in the hands of XS - Can you try'n take AM3 stats as well?? - The arc's down perment :'(
... One last thing, cause the sourcecode of SPI 1.4 be revealed.. - Im currently on a mission - I got programming in school and wanna make a page that's able to do PI calculation (pifast std. / SPI std) and E-calc, online :)
Me too ;)Quote:

So enjoy :toast:
http://superpi.radeonx.com is as of now forwarded as well!
the validator still doesn't work.... please fix??
I would like to work on making a SPI SMP Edition... :)
Super Pi 1.5 XS posted.
No changes other than checksum link changed to xs.org
Validation working too.
Thanks snq
Thanks, FUGGER, will check this out now :P
-k0nsl
the http://superpi.radeonx.com link forwards to http://www.xtremesystems.org/pi/ instead of .com
and on the http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/ page it still says Super Pi 1.4 XS, 2005/03/14
validation still tells me:
Validation result:
Incorrect checksum!
Fill out all fields, time and checksum to get validation.
I will fix this server to catch the traffic. Thanks
Doh! :D i are clever :P
thanks Fugger
Fixed.
Yay... Thanks Charles :toast:
Just change all "1.4" to "1.5" that appear everywhere, including zip file name ;) It could be good idea to add 1.5 to changelog... to explain what chages new version brings... YOu meantioned it here in a thread but I would put that on that Validation Page as well...
Doh...
heh, will do.
v1.5 no where to be found heh
Click the download link and it is version 1.5 even though its labled 1.4
I think once 1.6 comes out it should be designed to run faster on AMD:p:
Someone needs to make a version that opens and runs two instances without having to click two exes and run it twice ;) Would make dual core benching a ton less annoying.
and save yourself a full double click :woot:Quote:

Make two different versions. Like (was it rodzilla?) did with the XS D2OL installers.
Would also like to see the default window size that opens when exe is run large enough for 32M to fit without resize every time
That would be nice, I've got RSI from opening + resizing 2 x SPi 1.4 :( :DQuote:

Hm, snq can confirm it is the same build just cosmetic changes.
yeap exactly the same for me..........on 32M runs that isQuote:

Seems to be working on this end, you are downloading from xtremesystems.org ?
checked and it works here too:toast:Quote:

Hmm, I am on it.
I seem to be having some trouble running two instances at onces. Can anyone help......
I open 2
Calculate both to 1m
Start both as fast as possible
Right after starting the second i get an error msg saying
NO CONVERGENT IN SQR05 :slapass:
EDIT:
I did some more research solved the problem. Did not have SPI in two different folders. Was loading them from the same location........
Sounds like it is overheating and failing with both cores crunching. Increase the cooling to the CPU first, contact pressure, correct TIM, air paths.
Machine type and OC?
Temps?
fugger maybe the guy just isn't placing SPI apps in two separate folders
For potential multi-core versions, a simple command line switch to select number of instances would do the trick.
Anyone got a mirror? Link is dead.

Regards Tuppen^^
If you think a result is faked then you check the validation checksum. It does nothing else :)Quote:

Superpi has this feature: "2005/02/27 Added more cheat protection. Try to cheat and it'll crash :) "
It crashes everytime I try to run it. No difference if I push the sytsem hard or not.
Any way to fix this? The normal version runs without problems.
Your machine stability would be the first thing to check. The program is a simple pi algorithm. I highly doubt the program is flawed as too 10+ million downloads there has been two reports of inability to run the program.
Most likely memory is pushed too far or defective.
Prolly not a good oc. run memtest & see if you get any errors, or simply turn down the oc.
Apparently there is bug in Super PI mod xs. Could you please look into those two threads:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=154295
and
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...t=54389&page=4
( post from kamuiGT and foch3 -USA- ).
Last thing to add is that ver 1.4 and 1.5 crashes while I can run 1.1e just fine.
Thanks.
HMm... I'm typing in the times that i got, and the checksum, but I always get an invalid checksum... does this thing work still?
Yes, it still works with version 1.5
screen shot so we can try validation?
Sure thing.
Here's one
http://i20.tinypic.com/9k1r38.jpg
And when I try that I get:
http://i24.tinypic.com/4schmp.jpg
I can't seem to validate *any* of my results, even 16K on stock :( any clues?
bump for curiosity, still can't validate anything..
not that it's a big deal to me.
yup I just tried and still getting invalid checksum
ok cant post my checksum for hwbot....
Just wondering if because some people are using SuperPi 1.5 XS the checksum does not work?
I just downloaded SuperPI 1.5 XS since on a couple of sites thats I looked at most of the people were using SuperPI 1.5 XS.
When I try to validate the checksum it says invalid though and I have tried multiple times with the range from 16kb to 2MBs and everytime it fails the checksum on the website.
Here is a sample of one of my runs (yes I know its not a record but then again the system is still at stock speeds)
it's broken
fugger said he'd look into it but i guess he hasn't yet
he should try to lower frequency of the validation server, maybe its unstable :ROTF:
Does the SuperPi Validator work?
I tried from work and can't get it to say any result I tried is valid. I'll try it again when I get home and see if its not the network.
didn't knew that did is a XS copyright product well done folks :D
I cant seem to validate either. Is this happening for everyone?
me too..
Validation result:
Incorrect checksum!
for all results
http://forum.crazypc.ro/showthread.php?t=7793 these romanian guys have cracked your little toy...it seems this blue_led so,ehow managed to intrerrupt a southbridge quartz or something...don't know how they did it but these guys are the best...
Its a bogus program that just does a fake calculation to whatever you type in as variabled, there is a visual difference with superpi 1.5 xs so its not a perfect copy.
Look again Charles, this doesn't seem to be that knockoff. A very low level timing hack it seems, this would affect everything, not just SuperPi. I think they're using the original XS v1.5 without any modifications.
But ATM validation isn't working at all as it is. :S
I't a quite well-known hack. I remember this one for the good old Socket A. It changes the timer frequency, so the system thinks, that time goes slower than it really is. But there is a program, AnticheatTOC, it can catch this kind of cheat also. The program has been developed for Total Overclock - an overclocking competition. And there are new versions going out.
Would like to see that screen with the Anticheat validation :D
Cause this cheat was the first I recommended to add.
And yes, this program can make 3Dmark 01 run faster, that's for sure.
The Overclocker Magazine:
Fugger, don't sit so much on Gautum's ass with his name yeah ?
It was funny though  ...
Sorry for offtopic, but wanted to say this  ...
hmm i still get the Validation result: Incorrect checksum!
0h 00m 12.096s Checksum EDBAC619
dont know if im wrong or !!
Is there something wrong with SPi mod 1.5?
I run a 1M calculation with a 20 pass IBT stable clock and Super Pi Mod "has stopped working" almost immediately or after 1 iteration.
I have also booted with default values from a cleared CMOS and recieved the same result. The same thing happens with 32M, sometimes a few iterations in.
Tried this on multiple hardware configs. Haven't been able to get a good SPi result in a while...
I have also been trying to sun some pi's but no matter what i run It tells me its invalid checksum. Fugger can you look at this when you get a chance?
The validation hasn't been working for like a year now ... :(
Common XS..this is why you got Super PI.. because we knew you would take care of it.. there is plenty of help here arouind the boards.. i'm sure one of us that you trust can get the validation going.. XS FTW!
Please.
I can t validate 2 checksum
http://i43.tinypic.com/33xd25c.jpg
http://i39.tinypic.com/343q97c.jpg
Can somebody help me to validate to rbuass?
Thanks for the help
It has been stated like a gazillion times ... Validator is broken since like late 2007 ...
managed to eek out my memory a little.....shaved 10seconds off my 32m time :)
another 3 seconds off with a few more Mhz :)
Windows 7 FTW ;)
Yes, there is something wrong. In Vista (64-bit only?), disable Windows Audio service, and then it will run fine. There is a script somewhere on this forum that will stop the audio service, run SuperPiMod XS, and restart Vista's audio service.
One assumes that the program is hooking into audio DirectX to detect cheating, but that it doesn't quite work with some Vista audio drivers. I get this issue too.
I ran the 32M and got "0h 10m 23.797s" (i7 @ 3660 (20x183), uncore @ 3302, 3 x 2GB DDR3-1464 @ 7-7-6-18-1T).
hyper pi will run four instances (or however many cores you have) of Pi and offers the option to disable audio service in vista as descibed above.
